Little bit of everything brown rice, sweet potato, mixed soup lentils, big bag of frozen vegetables ( added last once everything else is cooked so it cools down quickly to bag and put in freezer for the week . Also cooking the frozen vegies too much , cooks out the nutrients . When time to serve I cook up some oatmeal and heat up the serving bag of food. Bit of a hosh posh . I have a very allergic 14 year old with liver/pancreas issues that a university veterinarian gave me a wonderful recipe to cook for him: Stew chicken ( I use breasts) , fresh carrots, celery in pot, add frozen peas, green beans and quinoa (rinse quinoa well because it is coated with a natural poison when harvested) . For additional vitamins and minerals I supplement it with daily cup of RX allergy commercial dog food kibbles. The handmade quinoa casserole quickly turned his liver enzyme issues around and helped him add a few much needed pounds on his fragile body plus he loves the aroma while we are cooking his dinner. Been 8-10 years now, beautiful coat returned, no itching without medication. Caution as quinoa is high protein, so always consult your veterinarian!

I just found you..I am hooked! I have been looking for content that is truly given by someone willing to do the right thing. Even when it costs everything. As it happens, I just made uo the beef, sweet potato and carrot mix. I am still trying to find decent supplements.
we feed Answers or Steve's raw frozen, with fermented Cow or Goat milk and a few supplements, determined by a stress test offered by Glacier Peak Holistics; am too busy/lazy to cook from scratch! Also we add CBD oil. Winston was rescued a year ago, will be 9 in December, and has tons of energy!!
Thank you for all you do for our furry loved ones. I fed my dog home-made food for a while and it was perfect until one day started to have Diarrhea and I saw some blood spots. I took her to the vet and off course he said that feeding dogs home-made food was not ok. I gave her turkey, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, coconut oil, turmeric and flaxseed. Any idea why might have caused her to go sick? Thanks!
I did this and add tiny piece of garlic for my yeasty dog. He loved it. After trying almost all commercial food and seeing he gets worst I decided to cook for him now. Thanks for your videos!
Loved this video and the recipe looks great. i’ll be cooking that for my dogs this weekend. Can you make a video about bathing dogs, how often and what type of soap to use etc. Thank you! 👏👏👏
Thank you for another great video. BTW. it only takes a few minutes to cook tender stew in the instant pot and it also retains more of the vitamins and minerals.
How great people are finding out this is better for them. Growing up we ate this way. And guess what our pets ate ? Yep what we ate. Meat, veg, carb. They got a can of food just as an occasional treat. They were healthy and happy. I eat healthy and my dogs eat what I eat.
Thank you Dr. for all the great information. I lost my best friend around 2 years ago with cancer etc. ;( I am planing to get 2 new puppies. I am very happy I found you. I am planing to cook for them. Thank you
I feed my Minpinzu Castor and Pollux brand grain free dry food with cooked meats. Twice daily. He loves it and is very healthy. He likes small bits of raw carrot. Sweet dogs. 💜
I found that when feeding real food vs. kibble, I had to up the volume of food by about 2times. When I first started a homemade diet with one of my dogs a long time ago he was eating everything he could get his hands ( or paws) on including non food items.
Oh my goodness.....so precious! I do this as well with my little monsters! I make all of their food from scratch and their cookies weekly. I get on the floor and let them watch me stir the cookie dough up and then they get to taste it and also have warm cookies from the oven...which they love! They always know when mommy is getting out the ingredients for their food or treats and they watch me like a hawk to be sure I don't forget to let them taste! Love and appreciate all of the amazing information in your videos and the slow motion effect is pretty neat!
For those who asked, the supplement in the video is Dr. Jones' Ultimate Canine Formula

But best for us, morning smoothies w/ raw kale, carrots etc, little cooked sweet potato or squash, barley grass pwd or like. then the added meat. Yum Yum the Mastiff says! Added supplement for joints & all is well.
I love to use the slow cooker or the Instapot to make my dog food.
I've been getting the instapot suggestion. I'll check it out.

I have taken my senior off dog food and I daily do any of these combinations: chicken broccoli, cauliflower, micro greens blueberries lean beef, sweet potato, carrots and KALE. She loves kale.
I’m so glad to have found your channel. I’ve been cooking for my rescues. I have a ChiPin and a ChiGi. They are my babies. Only the best for them! Thanks for the tips🐕🐾👌🏼
I use 93/7 organic turkey, organic veggies.. sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans and broccoli. They jump for joy when they smell it cooking!
Thanks for watching!

Dr. Jones you are the best! This is such a great viddeo, just love those pupsters.
What a great video!

Thnak you for giving a basic formula in ratio for homemade dog food! It's a great starting point for those (like me), who are inexperienced at this!
My pups want to go to the Jones Restaurant 😂 can’t wait to try this for them.
Thank you
You're welcome
Awe. What a nice dinner. Loved it. I'm feeding these now. Have a good weekend! Blessings. 😻
Thanks! Happy weekend to you too!
We LOVED IT & WILL BE HAVING "DATE NIGHT" AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK FROM NOW ON.
PS. It was a HUGE SUCCESS!!!
Thank you SOSO much for raising my thirteen year old's spirits. She's turing into a regular "Cougar" now.
With dearest love & dearest thanks.

MMMM I make stew also... they love their food... thank you for this reminder.
Hahaha! Cutest episode ever!! Loved it !!! 😄🐾❤️🐕🐾❤️🐾
Thanks, Amber! Glad you had fun!
Thanks!
Been looking for a good vet that is holistic! So glad I found your site!
That's great to hear!
I did this and add tiny piece of garlic for my yeasty dog. He loved it. After trying almost all commercial food and seeing he gets worst I decided to cook for him now. Thanks for your videos!
Aida Roldan is garlic good for yeasty puppets?

Tula is amazing 🐶❤️
Loved this video and the recipe looks great. i’ll be cooking that for my dogs this weekend. Can you make a video about bathing dogs, how often and what type of soap to use etc. Thank you! 👏👏👏
Not sure if this is what you're looking for but hope this helps: bit.ly/2VLs3G9
I'll try to make a new one in the future.
Such a sweet video- I can tell how much you love them and they love you!!!!!!
Look at them go.
That's a plus recipe for them
Gone in seconds!
lol Tula is so sweet and attentive :)
That's so sweet🥰😍
Sweet!
:)
This is great to know regarding home cooked meals and such well behaved dogs
I use the green carrot tops as vegetable both for us and the dogs.
Thank you Dr. for all the great information. I lost my best friend around 2 years ago with cancer etc. ;( I am planing to get 2 new puppies. I am very happy I found you. I am planing to cook for them. Thank you
I do this similar to Dr. Jones but use ground turkey, broccoli and carrots. Thanks for the video.

@@VeterinarySecrets lol cute
So adorable 🥰
Lovely menu served right on the table
Thank you dr Jones
❤
Love it!
Thanks Doc. A tip for lazy people like me to save time is to use a pressure cooker and finish this in a few minutes. :)
The best way to feed your pets
Love it
