When you get to 1:40, you can see a code in "Field expression"
Copy the code and go back to "Formula" insted of "Object" and paste the code in the Fomula section and multiply it by 0.001

Thanks for this vid, got me fairly close to where I want to be.
I'm using Autocad 2024 and in the Field dialog, under Property, the "Position" option is missing. I think that is what ties the value of the elevation to the position of the marker itself? I happens more often that I'm thrown off by the differences in the UI of Autocad 2024. Any helpful suggestions?

Make sure you select the block from the object type field
      Check at minute 1:30

@@1-minutecadtips949 Cheers for the reply, I just saw it now. Somehow my Insert Field dialog does not show an Object Type column, not sure why that is. I am wondering if the mac version shows things differently or whether there was a change to the 2024 version, but I am sure there's a solution somewhere ;)

Why isn't Conversion factor (from Additional Format in Field) active?
That would solve the problem for people who draw in other than meters.

Conversion factor is not active because Position is for coordinate not for a distance.
To solve your problem you need to edit the formula.
When you get to 1:40, you can see a code in "Field expression"
Copy the code and go back to "Formula" insted of "Object" and paste the code in the Fomula section and multiply it by 0.001 or any other factor you want.

Very useful! Could you guide how to assign initial level of any desired value, eg. 0.00?

The block you created in 1:00 must be the initial level for your drawing, make sure to put it in the initial level before you create it.

Just define X,Y,Z Pick Point location in Block Definition.

Why this way doesn't work when you turn off drawing and turn on again? I close drawing, and when it's open again insted of numbers there is ###.
