It feels like it gets harder and harder to find good music, I'm just so grateful that AI generated music isn't the norm yet, theres something fascinating about real life musicians, their influences and the sounds they come out with. THIS was the RUclips recommendation video that lead me to Luli Lee two years ago. I fell in love immediately and have followed every song she's put out before and since.
Bass players have been singing lead vocals for a century or more. Drummers as well. Is this the only vid or music you listen to. There a great big world out there, I listen to everything.
Bands who plays their own instruments seriously need to make a come back into the music industry. By 'come back' i really meant being in the spot light.
Em... Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, 5 seconds of summer, 30 seconds to Mars?.. Are they not in the spotlight enough? And don't forget solo-artist like Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars.
It's a uphill struggle mate. It's quicker, easier and financially better to pay one guy with a Mac and a bunch of samples to produce the music than pay for a whole band to record (as well as touring). At the end of the day it doesn't matter because unfortunately that is the kind of music that is popular right now. And the labels want to keep it that way for as long as possible.
Of course, I went to look at the suggested artists on Spotify. Lulileela - Dive > "FANS ALSO LIKE". In that list, I thought artists Aseul and Seoulmoon had some good grooves. I haven't made it through all those related artists yet.
We need to see more bands like these, with music based on instruments and quality. Don't care if it's Pop, Heavy Metal, Blues, etc. And to be honest, it's awesome to see a band with women components, doing a great musical job.

It's so good. It's so damn good. Really great. As a bass player it's both the style and sound outcome I'd want. And as a group it's in such great harmony. Really awesome musicianship.

There are a couple groups that are coming out that have the bassist as the singer and center point. Some are the bassists project, ao they find the group to play with them and compose/perform together.

There are a couple groups that are coming out that have the bassist as the singer and center point.
Some are the bassists project, ao they find the group to play with them and compose/perform together.

I've listened to this song about a year ago, simply seeing the bass player in the middle and singing and loved the whole production, had to save it on my watch later, can't spell the name apart from Dive tbh 😂

That such a nice product & music, korean language has such a nice sound and it's refreshing to have Korean song groovy like that which is not pop-music. (my thought is : other types of music do not get the attention they should)
