    Thank you for sharing this. I am happy that we are finally Boston is acknowledging this part of their history. Its important work if we ever expect to do better by the black and/or indigenous communities.

      I'm in Somerville. I'm disappointed govt page and our wiki have the starting histo.when white people started creating their govt. It's frustrating. I'm hoping our mutual aid members can get some space/time so we can advocate for the public documentation be corrected.

      @@qkranarchist3015 I hear you! I just looked at the City of Somerville page, and I see no mention of the indigenous population here before Europeans. I would think the city would be willing to revise it if residents asked for the change. I'm assuming this is the page you're referring to www.somervillema.gov/about

    How could they have a possible descendant of African enslavers play an instrument at the memorial of the Transatlantic Slave Trade? Boston is still kewn central, huh?
