When Child Welfare Fails | APTN Investigates

Indigenous children in the care of the state are already in a bad place. If the child welfare system fails - as it has in Alberta - things get much worse.
Children who were abused sexually or physically by the guardians sworn to protect them will carry deep emotional scars for many years to come. But now, some of those victims are grown up, and they want restitution for the trauma they suffered. And the Alberta government is fighting them every step of the way.
