Remember the studio was freezing. Everyone's voice was affected.............I was the first trumpet on these dates.

@Robert Lee, Countertenor Unfortunately Mr. Wise passed in 2015 and never saw your comment - but we can assume it's true! www.local802afm.org/allegro/articles/remembering-wilmer-wise/

I've never heard anything so "together" in my life!!
LOL Seriously, that section was stupendous.

These sessions actually took place in Sept. 1984 (LP was released in 1985). I was also a singer in these sessions, and yes, the memories are sweet. Oddly, the documentary presented an "invented" story line about Jose through the use of misleading editing, resulting in the depiction of "drama" that never actually occurred, while ignoring a genuine story: Kiri arriving practically voiceless from a summer cold, yet somehow muscling through.

The adversarial relation between Bernstein and the producers is a hoot. "I never heard anything more 'together' in my life."

Something dramatic DID indeed happen when the singers seated, Bernstein approached Carreras & actually tried to kiss him! The tenor turned scarlet & was visibly furious.

Bernstein was gay and his radar was off on that one.

I don't think there is - I imagine the record company would want to actually enforce the copyright on that one so people would have to go out and buy the soundtrack/making of to see it.
