Aew booking was so great in the beginning that it makes me wonder how much of that was Cody Rhodes, when Tony was given the award it was basically during the pandemic and there wasn't many promotions out there let alone thriving so I think that makes sense and I feel like a lot of people miss that perspective

I agreed with HHH winning booker of the year. Even though HHH's bookings is not perfect, but it's a little better than what TK is booking on his AEW shows. TK's bookings had been a hit and miss nowadays. Whenever he had something good, but ended up finding a way to screw it up such as the last minute bookings of All In and All Out, and The Devil storyline. His bookings on the women's division was worse than before. Worst of all, TK usually booked big dream matches with no story build-up to it. Sometimes, the matches that he booked was just thrown together that is nonsensical. The main problem with AEW is lack of long-term bookings. HHH knows how to book long-term storytellings. That's why Raw and SD shows are getting better without Vince's involvement. HHH always turned something negative to a positive, just take The Judgement Day and Gunther's IC reign as an example. So no, TK doesn't deserve to win booker of the year.

I actually got interested in watching WWE again (even Triple H and WWE have been stealing some ideas from AEW lately) If it wasn't for Swerve and Hangman Page beefing for the title and Sting and Darby, I could be interested in watching AEW Revolution. I really hope with this Big Business event he is about to put on, he really shakes things up. I would love for him to bring in Scott D' Amore.

Regarding Swerve on Most Improved, I think he completely evolved his character work, where he didn't do much before but had good matches. Similar to Dominik who's ring work is still kinda whatever but the character completely evolved.
The thing about the Jesse/Hogan heat about unionization is that basically every single top guy would’ve done the same thing because it would mean less money in their check. Bret, Shawn, Austin, all would’ve done that to protect their spot and anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves.
so Oedo Tai is pronounced. Oh-Ee-do. I watched that match and Stardom Bias aside I still think it was better than Sheamus, Gunther, and Drew because it has a long running story literally all 12 woman shined in that match and had done something of note and the storytelling in the match was very strong.
I will say generally, wwe sports entertained me for the most part in 2023 while AEW did now. AEW had some big moments such as the Ftr bullet club match on collision (which should be talked about more), but wwe was cooking something fierce when it comes to building stars. The amount of talent on this roster is nearly unheard of. It’s so deep that everyone is fighting over who gets the titles. It feels like anyone could win a title from Sami Zayn in the mid card to Cody Rhodes at the top.
Since HHH is head of creative and they booted out Vince McMahon as well as most of the old guard, WWE has been killing it. Tony Khan needs to step up his game.

It was. And this is from a guy who watches AEW regularly. Triple H was turning the wheel but it wasn't until that TKO deal, he was free to unleash his creative talent. Which we are seeing right now. He managed to inject himself into the biggest match of WrestleMania without doing so. That in itself is brilliant. WWE worked us with Cody and Rock. We got worked and I loved it. The crowds are heavily invested into a lot of the matches going into WrestleMania. You gotta give the title to Triple H as Booker of the Year

I have a HUGE issue with AEW Dynamite winning best show of the year. The issue I have is that I would much rather watch wrestlers wrestle a 3-Star match with a storyline that I can forget about everyday life & suspend my belief in, than watch a 5-Star match or "Dream match" where I would just get to watch 2 wrestlers roll around doing cool moves in their freaking underwear & have no idea WHY I should CARE?!

@@TheDumontShow TK did had some good stories such as Hangman vs Moxley feud, Swerve vs Hangman feud, Christian Cage vs Edge feud, and MJF vs Bryan Danielson feud. The Don Callis family vs Kenny Omega feud could've been good, but the momentum got ruined due to Kenny being injured again, same goes for the Devil storyline.

Regarding Swerve on Most Improved, I think he completely evolved his character work, where he didn't do much before but had good matches. Similar to Dominik who's ring work is still kinda whatever but the character completely evolved.

I watched that match and Stardom Bias aside I still think it was better than Sheamus, Gunther, and Drew because it has a long running story literally all 12 woman shined in that match and had done something of note and the storytelling in the match was very strong.
I will say generally, wwe sports entertained me for the most part in 2023 while AEW did now. AEW had some big moments such as the Ftr bullet club match on collision (which should be talked about more), but wwe was cooking something fierce when it comes to building stars. The amount of talent on this roster is nearly unheard of. It’s so deep that everyone is fighting over who gets the titles. It feels like anyone could win a title from Sami Zayn in the mid card to Cody Rhodes at the top.

It was. And this is from a guy who watches AEW regularly. Triple H was turning the wheel but it wasn't until that TKO deal, he was free to unleash his creative talent. Which we are seeing right now. He managed to inject himself into the biggest match of WrestleMania without doing so. That in itself is brilliant. WWE worked us with Cody and Rock. We got worked and I loved it. The crowds are heavily invested into a lot of the matches going into WrestleMania. You gotta give the title to Triple H as Booker of the Year

I have a HUGE issue with AEW Dynamite winning best show of the year. The issue I have is that I would much rather watch wrestlers wrestle a 3-Star match with a storyline that I can forget about everyday life & suspend my belief in, than watch a 5-Star match or "Dream match" where I would just get to watch 2 wrestlers roll around doing cool moves in their freaking underwear & have no idea WHY I should CARE?!

Well, Tony deserves to lose. And this is from a man who watches AEW regularly. He didn't book Dynamite and Collision consistently last year. Triple H was better in every way. I know it hurts some AEW fans but its the truth. Tony Khan has to step away from the product and let someone else book and run creative. In life, you don't have to do everything by yourself. The more you do yourself, the less focus you have to make something great. That's Tony in a nutshell.
