Beautiful Transkey collection - thanks for sharing Jerry! I collect world but also plants and animals so enjoy the many wonderful stamps that fit both collections. Hagner stock sheets are my favorite - I can't always afford them but have enjoyed getting them gently used in box lots over the years.
Wonderful and almost complete collection of Transkei stamps! Wow! And you got it at such a good price! The stamps are also very neatly ordered and displayed. I really like your collection! I can give a bit of information because I am familiar with southern Africa. 5:04 images of the rituals of young Xhosa men transitioning from boyhood to manhood (initiation rituals); 7:03 Encephalartos species are cycads native to Africa. They are some of the most primitive gymnosperm plants. All of them are endangered. 17:09 aloes; :) :) :) 18:50 those spiders are pretty realistic :) I can think if you don't like spiders they will touch a cord :); 20:47 animals - top left to right - blackfooted cat (one of the African wild cats), small antelope found in southern Africa ("blue duiker"), small antelope ("oribi"), African wild dog (also known as painted dog). I love these stamps. Thanks for showing us this beautiful collection, Jerry!!! Looking forward to part II! (The few Transkei stamps I showed were part of the very special stamp gift from Steve Ogier in Australia).
Thanks Charnie, I am glad you enjoyed them and thank you for the information about the stamps, very interesting. Part 2 is coming soon, I am awaiting some stamps to arrive in the post.

Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed them. Hagner stock sheets are good, about £8 for 10 here in the UK, so it's not too bad.
Lovely stamps from Transkei Jerry. Thank you for sharing it with us!😊
Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed them.

Thank you, much appreciated.
I am in Indiana USA. I always like stamps showing houses and aspects of daily life in other places. I am curious about how other people live.
Hi, thanks for your reply, I like learning about tribes and how they live, very interesting.
Interesting stamps and mostly in Mint too.
Thank you, yeah, the whole collection is mostly mint.
