*HA!!!!!* 😋 Everyone's go-to, Shoe Goo... Not so great is it? That was such a good comparison and test, I'm putting it in my "Tips and Tricks" folder!! 👍👍😎 It really baffles me why SO MANY People insist on that stuff. Okay, it's good for Styrene. I've been using various Gorilla Products for a few years now, with no complaints whatsoever! It just WORKS. Never used Goop. Even that is a better alternative! I haven't even SEEN Shoe Goo for sale anywhere around me (Southern Arizona). I could guess why. In Summer (NOW!!), temps get upwards of 115-120 DEGREES!! 🔥🔥 That's 47-50 Degrees Celsius! That stuff MELTS! 😳 There's times you really don't want that happening. Glad I never used it.... Carmine ✈🚂🚙
PoorManRC, that’s 100% false! Cured Shoe Goo can withstand temperatures from -40 to 180°F. The hottest temperature on earth ever recorded was 134°F in Death Valley California.
Ive been using gorilla glue clear grip on my rc helicopters to hold down wires and protect them from sharp edges and stuff and it works amazing. Holds really strong and firm with a little bit of flex for vibration resistance, but comes off clean when you want it too. Amazing stuff !
I believe the Goop, Shoe Goo, and E600 are the same exact thing made by the same manufacturer. I have experience with all the but I highly recommend Goop Max 2 I have absolutely nothing but positive experiences with it as an adhesive I'm not exactly sure how it would work on pain tho. I glued a USB powered PC case fan to a device with the Goop Max 2 and I had to remove it a month later it was an absolute nightmare to remove and all I did was use two little dabs. Anyways while it was a nightmare to remove it really impressed me as an adhesive. There are many uses for glues and they all have their intended purpose but I swear the Max 2 has become one of my favorite glues and I keep a tube of it with my super glue. Folks either seem to love duck tape or adhesives for me it's adhesives. The Max 2 doesn't really seem to be self leveling like the others it may self level to an extent but I find self leveling not to be the best when you are trying to get the most coverage as possible on two small objects and it just wants to run down the side of what ever you are glueing. I have repeated it several times now but if you ever get the Goop Max 2 use it on two flat surfaces like scrap metal it's insanely hard to separate the two.
thanks for the info, the three types of glue that I tested to have different compound in them so they are a little bit different. I will definitely have to test out the goop Max 2.
PERFECT. I was getting ready to repair a split sole on my sneaker and was going to use Shoe Goo. Now, I'll get a tube of the Gorilla Glue instead. Thank you so much. UPDATE - I just viewed another video "Which Glue Is The Best" and Shoe Goo came out better than Gorilla Glue. I'M SO CONFUSED. I noticed that a lot had to do with how long the glue was allowed to dry.
LOL, that is so true. I should have started off by saying you was a well vented area or else you might get a buzz. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate the support
I remember all of us skateboarders used shoe goo on our ripped up skate shoes with falling off soles and it never worked good no matter how we prepped it
That was interesting, but from the results i'm going to get Gorilla. What you pointed out the nozzle is better and will goo up less then what the Shoe Goo does. Then the Gorilla is thinner and will give better work time. Great video :-)
That's some Good information... I'll have to get some goop or gorilla don't care to much for the corrosive effect of shoe goo... I've been using automotive body trim adhesive 3M and seems to work but leaves spider string badly.. 😎👍👍
Thanks for the video, Tank. But I would like to know how it actually works in a real application. I have bought some Goop (marine) to use on my convertible top. The stitching has dry rotted where the heavy plastic windows meets the canvas. The top is canvas not vinyl so I am hoping it will be easier to repair. I also am hoping to get 2 more years out of this top. In your experience do you think the goop will with stand the weather outside? Let me know what you think.....Thanks
Thank you for your comment oh, I did this video to demonstrate how good it work on styrene. On how it would perform on your application I am not sure because this glue is not really UV protected which mean it will degrade with the Sun so in your application I don't think it will work.
can any of this be used to catch rats on a board a card board i am having difficult time find glue for rats and i dont want to use rat boards because they suck
Nice project, if you look at the front or the back of the glue packaging you will see if it's a good glue for rubber, me I would probably use a contact ciment glue that was made for rubber.
Hey new to ur channel. .. Will u suggest me best and specific glue :- 1) to stick broken artificial jewellery or to stick diamond, kundan, pearl on artificial jewellery 2) to stick leather item 3) to stick broken plastic Plz suggest me other than fevi kiwick, hot glue gun , Fevicol,.....plz suggest
I know you're trying different glues out for one of those glue to fix shoes the other ones are to fix other things not necessarily made to fix a shoe sole the comparison for these glues to me the test results would be inadequate because they're not being properly tested for what they're made for
Some people have suggested using these types of glue as a replacement for an exhaust gasket on my nitro’s? So I was thinking high temps & not just environment heat?
That is the main reason I did this test to see if it was going to do damaged or warp the styrene and there's also no issues using it on lexan, I have been using this for years now
Shoe Goo is WORTHLESS. The sneakers I go running in every day only lasted a week when repaired with Shoe Goo. Might as well use a tube of silicone sealant. The shoe comes apart after a very short time.
I'm sad to see that shoe Goo did not work for you, I never had any problems with, keep in mind when you apply it the area must be clean of all dust and residue.
First time hearing it pronounced Tam i ya. I raced RC from 1997 - 2007 and even the Tamiya employees at the Aliso Viejo, Ca location pronounced it Ta Mi Ya.

Why did I listen to you!! I've always used shoe goo on SHOES and had great results. I listened to you comparing glues and like a sucker, I went and used Gorilla glue to repair shoes...complete crap. Sole separated within weeks. Used shoe goo as I have previously and now perfect. You are comparing products by doing the same test for each. These are made for different applications. Your test is comparing apples with pears...thanks for nothin'.
I've tried several different kinds of glues from Gorilla, they were like a bag of chips, half full, and never satisfying. Over some time and use, it yellowed and cracked

All three are pretty close to the same but when using on shoes you got to make sure that they are very clean and let them dry at least 24 to 48 hours
Pretty cool I always used the shoe goo. I’ll definitely be looking in to the gorilla glue as with the width of the nozzle shoe goo gets everywhere
Definitely the small tip applicator really makes a difference. Thanks for watching and commenting I really appreciate your support.
Just don't start glue comparisons by smell, you end up, what were we talking about again?

Shoe Goo works so well on so many applications, I can afford to get one of the other two for the odd job that needs something else.
All 3 works great for me, I love the tip on the gorilla glue

Gorilla glued applicator is really important for small controlled applications. I think e6000 and gorilla glue are very strong products.
Cool video today thanks for your testing glue
Love the smell of shoe goo🤯 and it works great for me👍👍 very cool tank😁
What do u use it for i want a good one for my football boot's sole
Very good test. Excellent explanations and demonstration. These are very good sticks always have in his workshop.

Thanks for watching and commenting on the video. Like I said in the video I really like very small hole for the applicator of the Gorilla Glue
