My Biggest Dip Painting - How to Turn your Leftover Paint into Art

  • Today I'll show you how to paint great works of art with just paints, a canvas and some masking film. You can do that too!
The acrylic paints were only diluted with a little water and Pouring Medium. For this painting here, I used leftover paints that I had left over from older paintings. The sealed cups keep well 2-3 months and since I paint many pictures with the pouring technique remains with the time always some left. Today I paint with it a large work of art with the dipping technique.
    The canvas size is: 90 x 130 cm or 35.43 x 51.18 inches.
It is important to paint the canvas with a color base at the beginning, I chose white paint. Spread a little white paint then also on the work surface.
Now still distribute the colors on the canvas, there are no guidelines or rules. I just did not cover the whole work surface, I wanted to keep some white spots in the picture. It looks so much looser and not so cluttered.
In the end, place the canvas in the paint and press firmly so that the paint spreads nicely on the underside. Now peel off the canvas and let it dry. Finished is your own great work of art.
Now you know what you can do with your leftover paints. I hope you liked the idea and as always I appreciate a thumbs up or a nice comment.
    Creative greetings
    Tiktus

And sorry for the translation error, yes it is a plastic wrap not a foil. I use something like that to protect the furniture during renovation work.

Curious did you try smaller canvases on the plastic after you did this ? Cuz I think I definitely would have maybe even try a toss spinning canvas in the middle or a swipe with canvas in hand looks like fun to experiment with
And honestly I find your constant creativity with this art inspiring always thinking outside the box. I love it

I was going to comment the exact same thing. This picture would look great in a baby’s/kids room And then as they get older moved into the family room. Or leave it in the kids room if they like it. Lots of happy color. I like it.

@@janisedenton4242 Janise, I never knew it was a man! LOL another lesson in stereotyping, thinking that most people that do this would probably be a female! Lesson many might need to learn.. nonetheless, definitely one of my favorites here!!💖

Very well said about not being a right or wrong way to do this. The art is within us all. Its just a matter of letting it out. Encouraging others to create art is literally bringing more beauty into the world. Bring more beauty into the world leaves less room for hate and ugliness. Thank you for your beautiful painting and your beautiful words. Much respect 🙏.
