Wooow..! this is just amazing! there were only some records out of some "Bloodless Pharaos" recordings. But i didn´t know there were also Footages! This is absolutely seldom! Thank you very much for uploading this!
I was there - Was there for ALL their NY shows. Have any more? I know it's a touchy subject - but it's been such a long, long time. Thanks for this great memory.
@@tyroneshuz I saw him KILL IT !! on a Sunburst Strat W/ the strat neck, Just prior to them "Making it" in the U.S. An INCREDIBLE & UNREAL "Curve ball" Because @ that time, ALL Bands were beginning the Hair Metal Bullshit ! Weeks later My friend & I saw them (I believe) on SNL, & We said In unison, "LOOK ! It's those Guy's !! Then MTV Started playing "Stray cat Strut" YEAH !!!
Damn, I can't find it. There is an old clip of the Cats doing YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME on a TV show, and he is using a sunburst Strat. I wish I could compare & contrast whether it's the same one. What struck me about it is he borrows a descending riff from George Thorogood's "Move it on Over."
I was 19 years old swede that went to CBGB's and saw them accidentally. They change my life completly. I happened to meet Mark Motherbaugh from Devo and he held them as a favorite band.
I too saw them @ CBGB’s when I was 19 or 20 years old on a trip to NYC with the Fine Art Department of Queen’s University. Went with a girlfriend and never forgot the experience
I caught the last Tom Cats show at max's .... Next day they were off too England ....with a new name ....and a Void Oids song with new lyrics that made their career .
Brian so young❤still recognise his guitar style in this.
I love it. Talented even then!
Thanks for sharing this rare setzer video.
Brian playing a Strat !! Some of the earliest footage of him . TY
Body looks like a Strat, but the neck most definitely isn't. Maybe a Tele Deluxe neck?

I'm surprised the Orchestra did not tackle this for old times' sake.
I heard this live by The Tubes; extremely cool. I would love to see The BSO do this, along with Peter Gunn.
My absolute baby😍😍 so young 😍😭
Sarah Dee keep going to send these to you but you've seen them already 😭
I find you pair on every setzer vid lmao 😂
: If you want to edit the title technically it is
: The Bloodless Pharaohs - "Perry Mason" ...
Cool band !!

There's a couple more songs on the tube here and there , live and recorded ..but no full sets yet .
Holy cow how cool is this, BTW I knew it was Perry Mason instantly.
I like it..sounds old yet offbeat
With a Strat no less !
Vintage strat with a '50' Tele neck. Not sure the age of the Strat body. Awesome guitar!

The Gretsch is on standby. You can glimpse it at various times, notably 2:02.

The music is avant-garde at the time. This was 1979, 45 years ago

Thorjohnsson1 I also saw them accidentally by wondering in CBGB one day!

ruclips.net/video/iQXRIetUmpo/видео.html Ken sings again
Love this video.. along with My Coussin Bob Beecher~
Brian looks so good here, he looked like his brother here with the dark hair
New wave
2:02 I think that's the '59 in the background?
I see it, good catch!
Sounds like "Town without pity"
Theme song from "Perry Mason".
Agreed
Hi, I would like to know if Brian use an overdrive pedal and what is this pedal ?
I thought the Bloodless Pharaohs were done by 79, they were onto The Strand, the Tom Cats, changing their name to the Stray Cats in England.
Don't know when the stopped but the opened for my band 2-15-80 at Max's Kansas City
WOW I was there with Jim m from the stray cats great times. soooo cool

NICK MARDEN There's that bit in the song Blank Generation, where I was thinking oh that's just like Stray Cat Strut! Or vice versa :)
@@NBM3 Which song was that ?
Lester, Ken sings on another post. Look for it. Experimental, not cushy sound for sure.
Perry Mason
What's avant-garde about this?
Name of the song?
It is the theme song from the TV show "Perry Mason" from the '50's and '60's.
Town without pitty
