  • The final settlement before the Babi Lighthouse, Lalivero has had Saturos and Menardi pass through very recently indeed. Isaac and his friends have nearly caught up with them, meaning that the game is almost at is end. But there's still more that the game is going to throw at us yet, including some more plot and a couple of long dungeons that will test everything that we know. But first we need to talk to the people of the settlement and find out all they know. Perhaps they might know things about the ruins beneath the lighthouse they're building, the better to forewarn Isaac's group about the peril they're soon to face.
Lalivero is the final settlement in the game and thus, it's the last place the party can rest and buy items before the end dungeons. With that in mind, it offers some of the best equipment that you can get and some impressive artifacts that we'll be spending our accumulated cash on. After this point, we won't have much need for money but we'll continue to gain it anyway, just in case we want to fill our inventory with elixirs or return to Tolbi and play the dice game forever.
At 4:39 there is a cut segment due to an audio issue. No commentary is lost.

Tell you why I like kikoskia - the man rarely, if ever, complains. I like that.

I presume this is going to be the last "talk to everyone in town and read their minds in the process" video of the LP...how I'm going to miss having Isaac and his pals explore the towns thoroughly, getting information from the townsfolk, buying and selling stuff, and finding valuable loot and even a Djinn. I am, however, looking forward to seeing how well you do in the game's final dungeons (including the optional one, which I presume you'll be checking out very soon)!

Shebas story is one of the biggest mysterys of golden sun. There are many clues who she is and where she comes from, but never really an explanation for anything else. Its like they dropped her storyline somewhere in development and/or wanted to make it its own story in a possible (true) sequel, but simply never could... and with golden sun 3 she isnt even properly mentioned anymore and just lost to history :(
Its a shame really, but this mystery will probably be always a mystery.

Now I'm even more curious about what the deal is with Sheba.

I'm not really one for RPGs, but this game certainly looks entertaining!

The water is purple in that town. I think that you're not supposed to drink it as "purple" usually means "poison"...

      That or blackcurrent juice.

If we're thinking about inorganic stuff, it could've been Prussian Blue or Purple of Cassius ingridients. One is potentially toxic (it's literally cyanide with iron for color), other is made using Aqua Regia. Or slats of iron or copper or manganese.
...but it could've been blueberry juice.

Kiko is not a fan of mushroom soup? Well, everyone has their own preference in food.

Why does Faran's daughter refer to her mother as "His wife?" Translation error?

No need to bother using the Lucky Medals in Tolby anymore. The gear it gives is bad. Might as well keep them for the next game.

Did freaking Issac became Homer Simpson? :D

Isaac's BEEN Homer Simpson for most of this game. He's so complacent about Babi, Lalivero and everything else that you really can't call him anything other than that. Mind you, a lot of this is because of bad writing that could easily be fixed, but it's still worth noting.

Yeah, I have a feeling that was meant as a Simpsons reference. A totally unexpected one at that.
