6s is plenty for my Kraton, this is gonna be EPIC! This beast really handles quite well... Those tires are great, almost like bigger Katars. I put Katars on my 6s and it handles like this, not as much rotation for big airs but supurb traction out of the turns with less slide. Nice setup.... Maybe extra rubberized CA glue will hold them?? Rock on brother
6s in this 8s 1/5 kraton s horribly boring. 6s in the smaller version is perfect but not for this much larger scale truck

Those tires look like they hook up well on the wet grass. I'm just about sold on this setup, 12S looks like a good combo. I might be clicking "Buy" on this truggy sometime soon!

Since it came out I always said the Kraton 8S is a work of art. No question.. ever.. and I'm really Glad that Arrma didn't try to take the X-Maxx's throne cos' lets face it... that would be ULTRA tough. anyone that has an X-Maxx 8S would understand. There's a reason they're always sold out.
Anyway... back on point....12S power, Suits this animal to a "T"
Problem is tires. Belted tires are a great idea, but right now they're heavier than non belted.. few guys in the UK get fishing leader wire and wrap that around their tires and it's an absolute God Send... how they tie them off or finish the loops is beyond me ATM.

if u rise back lil bit, u can use it more stable when back side not down to much it not wheelie so easy. You can rise it with shock rings

Good Googily Moogily............ 63 mph on long wet grass. get that thing on some red dirt hard pack here in Oklahoma with perfect tuning of that ESC and geared right, im thinking 70 could be attainable. that thing is a beast.

Need a little weight on the nose to keep it down, then run speed check
Maybe tone down the punch a little bit to help keep the front end down more.. that’ll make the packs last little longer per charge, less strain on the packs too, and it’d make it bit more drivable as this thing is sick as hell for power... it’s like Paul Bunyan making the Grand Canyon or Moses parting the sea! I hope you have the driveline beefed up good as I have heard that Arma uses cheap “pot metal” in their driveline diff gears instead of stronger and more precise machined alloys...

How much would something like this cost
Well the Kraton is $900. Then the motor, motor mount and esc. Then 2 6S batteries to power it.
Wide, no, much WIDER tyres needed. Maybe some spikes too, for grip and added danger.
If you ever want to sell it, I’ll definitely buy 😁
