I first heard Stefan Grossman play this in about 1976! All these years later it still impresses me and your version is just as impressive. Very well done !!!!
Gymnastic fingers with swing!! Wow that is a difficult piece. How long have you been playing that one? I just checked and it looks like it was first recorded in 1927 by the Dallas String Band. I hear strains of Gary Davis here and there in the tune. What a knock out, bravo Kris!
I tried it once before by ear a couple of years ago from Yazoo Basin Boogie. I got pretty close. Somebody forwarded me a rare video of Grossman doing it last week, I spotted some extra tricks my ear didn't pick up so I tried again. still missing feeling and there is a missing hammer on plus my usual clank. Nothing I'm to worried about though, really I'd need a wider neck guitar to hit it up properly. Thank you.
There are about 100 or more versions of Dallas Rag on youtube.
These are the four best:
Dave Laibman
Stefan Grossman
Jagtime Millionaire
and
yours 🎉
sorry mate, but your guitar is off-key....
Sounds all right to me. What do I know.

This is pretty much the exact version of Stefan👍🏼. I like the power. Listen to the actual original version by Dave Laibman.
