to be fair: the way Arthur overworks Merlin, and the constant stress of him having to save Arthur's ass without getting caught using magic, I'm surprised Merlin DOESN'T go to the Tavern....
He simply doesn't have time. He literally works a three full time jobs every day 😂
@@blank_line also one of the many reasons why he doesn't have a girlfriend. In s5 he probably has been Arthur's manservant for 10yrs or more. If he had a girlfriend his attention would shift and Arthur is probably dead within days...

For all he knows he is gonna lose his servant if someone comes along offering a better 'deal' or heaven forbid a love interest. So keeping him close and under observation means controlling his contacts and monopolising him.^^ If I were Arthur I certainly wouldn't let anyone near Merlin unsupervised.

Bradley James said in an interview that he thought at some point about an episode in which Artur and Merlin would enter one in each other's body. Maybe in Season 6, if the BBC is willing to do it, with Arthur's return. I think it would be super funny. Especially since now Arthur would know that Merlin has magic.

@IDOL.EDITSS depends on how it works what Balinor described as the magic Merlin is made of. Merlin is made 'of the earth, water and sky'. If he changes bodies with Arthur what is it that constitutes Merlin? The body itself or the spirit/soul/knowledge stored in his brain/memories? When Merlin was possessed by that worm creature bend on assassinating Arthur he couldn't use magic because that creature didn't know about it. As a writer I would opt for the same. After body-switching Arthur in the body of Merlin doesn't have a clue about magic while Merlin knows magic but can't use it in Arthur's body since that body has a different genetic make-up and Uther's deal back then isn't enough to change the essentials.
When the season 6 is gonna come out?
Never. At least not with Colin, Bradley and the rest. Sorry to burst your bubble. The closest you can get to season 6 is the script for 'Kingdom Come'. It touches almost everything we fans would like to address and is written with all the love you can have for the show.
Arthur and merlin 'enter each' other all the time
Arthers face at the end he's like "I'm so done. So done. Get me out of the oven cuse I'm so done"
I love how when Merlin isn't there to dress Arthur, Arthur just walks through Camelot's streets half-dressed and his excuse is that he can't go "somewhere" undressed. While he just literally walked all the way from the castle to Merlin's home undressed.
Being a peasant in Camelot is worth it even if just to see (and hear) Arthur's tantrums at Merlin.😂😂😂😂

Arthur needed some time to warm up to Merlin: several life savings, standing up to him being threatened by a mace, having inexplicable extraordinary 'luck' while Merlin was around etc. Gwaine on the other hand was immediately taken in by Merlin's charme. If Merlin weren't that fixated on Arthur then Gwaine probably would become Merlin's best friend.
