You can incorporate the foam into the milk with a swooshing motion of the Aerochono 3 or 4 after it's finished. You can get a thicker end product by doing so very similar to the Barista recipe maker albeit manual.
Thank you for this- I went back and forth but finally decided on the Barista due to the quality of the foam rather than quantity. That mocha looks delish
No problem. Have to say the Barista has changed the way I think about milk based drinks. Will hang on to my Aeroccino 4 too for when I'm in a rush to get out of the door. Hope you're happy with the Barista!
Excellent ! Answered all my questions. Definitely going to upgrade to aerochinno 4 from my 3 and probably get the recipe maker towards winter time. Thanks bunches, job well done!
Ah great, glad it helped! Great plan, enjoy some nice winter hot chocolate and mocha eh 👍🏼 If I see any good speacial offers or discounts for the Barista Maker on the Nespresso website in future then I'll share them in a video so you don't miss out.
I think the 3 makes a good job of it. I just really don't like the design of the 4, it's like those daft cheap led desk lamps you get with all the coloured leds. The barista looks great but bulkier and seems to make a more emulsified wet foam opposed to the dryer foam of the 3 and 4 which should be nicer mouth feel compared to the aeroccinos but end result isn't as visually spectacular. I would like the barista though
That Mocha looks so lovely! I could just have one now! I have an aeroccino 4 which is brilliant especially the extra froth button, I have recently given my 3 to my neighbour and would love a Barista machine but at that price it will have to be a birthday present. I love coffee so it’s always going to be either semi or full cream milk. I love watching your videos, I always find out more information from every one. Thanks to you both.
Thanks for that! The Mocha's really are good along with the flat whites and others. There are one or two recipes where you use cream instead of milk by the look of it too. It is a lot to spend, though. Probably wouldn't have bought it without the discount deal. Can't see me being able to get rid of it now my wife's used to it, though.
I commented on your review of the 4 last week and I have finally figured out why my aeroccino 3 froths better. I timed it, and it stays on for a full 2 1/2 minutes whereas the Aeroccino 4 is finished much earlier. After just watching this video, I noticed that your Aeroccino 3 stays on for about a minute and a half. I don’t know why my 3 stays on for so long but that explains why the result is so much better than the 4. This video was fantastic by the way, as I was really curious about the barista maker.
Glad it was helpful. Yeah that does sound like a long time for it to run but if it gives you the froth you want then it’s not a bad problem to have I guess 😂
I have aeroccino 3 too but the time actually depends on the milk temperature .. if i use cold milk will take more time and the froth is good like the v.4 made in this video while if i used room temperature milk it take less time and the froth will be same as v.3 in this video .. but maybe this also depends on what milk you’re using too on fat content
I don't like the Barista maker for almond or oat milk because it does not froth but it is superior for milk. You also need to reduce the amount of milk if using non fat (skim milk) because it whips up higher without the fat.
Thank you for a really in depth review of each item. I wanted to know if they do hot and cold, for hot chocs, milkshakes and coffee products. Was good to see real time too and the differences in the sound output too. Thank you :)
Thanks for that, glad it helped. The aeroccinos do have a hot and cold function but they are only really supposed to be used with milk. Some people do make hot chocolate in them but Nespresso don't recommend it. The barista recipe maker can make lots of different recipes including the ones you mentioned (we did a video showing how to get cold frothed milk from it recently). I haven't tried milkshake but I'm sure that would be possible. We have lots of videos on the channel using these frothers now, if you have time to look through some you might find them useful :)
Very happy to have found your chanel. I am considering getting my first coffee maker. You videos are very friendly and just perfect amount of info based on actual use. Love them. Already subscribed.
I have the 3 and I'm stunned that they made a product that you can only make ONE serving of froth at a time! You can't do one and then do another without waiting for 15 minutes or so for it to cool down.
Hi 👋 Yeah it's not ideal but one solution we've found useful is to wash it out in between uses and bring the temperature down with cold water (dry it too) so you can use it again quicker than usual. Don't know if this will help but hope it does 😊
I’m go glad to see I’m not the only one who has a original machine and vertuo. You get such different coffee. I have the creatisa and we love it! But the variety of coffee i got the vertuo just to be able to have regular coffee sometimes. Now I’m deciding between which frother!
ooh I loooove the barista maker, I will get that eventually. I've had the aero 3 for a while now and its still PERFECT after a lot of excessive use. With that said I never mess with the spring, I always froth w. 2% so I can't speak to that. I don't mind handwashing it but I do get nervous about getting the elements wet. that mocha was beautiful tho so that seems worth it in itself on the barista maker otherwise I see no reason I would upgrade to the 4. thank you for the video!!! very helpful.
If you're bothered about foam quality buy one of the creatista nespresso machines with the steam wand. They produce way, way way more microfoam than the barista - and they make BIG coffees too. They are expensive machines but way better. You can do latte art with the milk - and have a lot of control over the foam volume, temperature etc....
Yeah would like to give one of those a try at some point, maybe the lattissima too. Got plenty of videos in the pipeline at the minute but one for the future I think 👍
A2B Productions Lattissima is not great in my view..too messy with internal milk tube. Creatista is the way to go for lattes and cappuccinos. You can honestly recreate cafe style drinks with that machine. Quite easily. I like it a lot.
Thank you for this video! Very detailed which I love…I am convinced to purchase the barista maker. Also, I just subscribed to your channel. I can not wait to try different recipes.
The trick with skim milk is it has to be ice cold to properly froth. You also don't want to use a milk that's too fat either for example in eggnog probably wouldn't be good
Wow really? I've always wondered if the initial temp of the milk matters. I've never frothed milk before so this is all new to me. Any other tips on milk temp? Skin milk vs full cream? I like extra frothy but no big bubbles.
I just had Nespresso inissia around 3 week ago and had aeroccino3 with it .. i love it .. the trick i found from many trials and errors with 2 type of milk is when i used whole fat milk and cold out from the fridge i get so much froth that look same as the one from v.4 in the video but when I used room temperature whole fat milk the froth will look a bit creamy and less in volume .. and because I usually use powdered milk when i ran out of real boxed milk the froth come out more creamy than foamy because it contains more fat than real milk .. the only thing that I didn’t like was the froth in the cold setting was like soap bubbles than a froth.
Cheers for sharing. I always used to use whole milk in my aeroccino 3 but the Latte Macchiato setting on the Aeroccino 4 gave so much froth that I ended up switching back to semi-skimmed. Think I was adding too much milk when I first got the aeroccino 3, though, as when I put just 100ml in recently it really did froth up well.
One thing missing - the Aerocinno 3 has an advantage over the Aerocinno 4 = it doesn't have a handle, making it easier to place/grab off/onto the base and the top doesn't have a spout rubber cover so the lid can be placed anywhere without faffing about
Yeah that rubber spout does need to be placed on perfectly or it won't sit correctly. I don't mind the handle too much as some people find it easier to pour the milk with the handle. I've never tried to grab the aeroccino 4 by the metal you know, wondering how hot it gets now 🤔 It is a bit of a fingerprint magnet though, so that's probably why I didn't try 😂
Great video I have the aero 3 currently and I've just upgraded to a vertuo machine as got the machine free with 200 capsules. Seriously thinking about the barista
That’s a lot of free capsules 👍🏼 Some good deals around isn’t there. The Barista does open up a fair few different drink options (made a few on the channel now) and the mochas, hot chocolates and flat whites are great. It just doesn’t froth the milk up in the same way as the aeroccino does as you probably saw from the video. Think having both is a good combo if you have space for them. We started a podcast this week you know and discussed that question as it comes up so much, is the Barista Recipe Maker worth the money? 😅 Don’t know if you listen to podcasts but it’s available on Apple, Spotify and others if you search A2B Productions.
I have the 3 and it suddenly isn't frothing nearly as well. I was tempted by the Barista till I watched this but it's the froth I love so have bought the 4. thanks for this
Hey! Great video, just what I was looking for! I have the aeroccino 3 and I love it! But I have my eyes on the Barista since it was released here in Brazil... When you were making the lattes, couldn't you put the coffee directly to the barista? I wonder how that would have turned out!
Cheers, glad it helped. We were making latte macchiatos in this video so the coffee gets added after the frothed milk. However there are some recipes where the coffee gets added into the jug so it wouldn't be a problem if you wanted to do that with the Barista Recipe Maker.
I have been watching you for a while, subscribed today, not sure why I haven't previously. I love my Nespresso machines, I have a vertuo plus and an expert with milk. I have had an aeroccino 4 in the past, but I don't tend to use the froth that much so for me the 3 is enough. I am tempted by the Barista, but it is a lot of money for the sized drink you get. I'd justify getting one by using it for hot chocolate for my kids, but think would I need to do it multiple times for my three kids. Love watching your videos btw.
Thanks for that, really glad you like them! We have 2 boys and have used it a lot to make hot chocolate, like you one of the main reasons we wanted to try it out. It's a lot of money and while the drinks are small, would say it's really quick to wash out (and rinse with cold water to bring the temp of the jug back down) in between drinks. They've never asked for more than one either as they are treat hot chocolates and are quite rich. Not that they understand what rich means 😃 Hope this helps a bit.
A2B Productions thanks for your reply. It’s only really become an issue the sizes now they are older 😆. Costs me a fortune when we go out to coffee shops, babycinnos just don’t work for them 😆. I make hot chocolates with Aeroccino, shh don’t tell Nespresso 😆. Got it down now and I use chocolate chips, or chocolate callets. To be fair they only want them as it is a treat, if it became an every day thing they wouldn’t want them. I would like your opinion on the Nespresso’s chocolate squares vs other well known chocolates though. I haven’t purchased any myself and am tempted with my stash of nespresso credit.
No problem. Yeah we only dish them out as treats too. What brands of chocolate do you currently use? To be honest I'd need to try them against a few others in another video I think - don't need asking twice to go out and buy a load of chocolate to test 😂 Can say the Nespresso ones are really nice, though. They don't tend to last long when we buy them. If you get some be sure to put them up high away from the kids! Can really feel your pain now the Babyccinos don't work too, we're in the same boat with our boys 😭
A2B Productions 😆 🤣 joys of kids getting older. To be honest I tend to get just chocolate chips for the hot chocolate. 45p from Aldi, 30g is enough for a hot chocolate. If I am feeling a bit more bougie I get the callebaut callets. Costly, but you get a massive bag, so does last ages. Makro/Booker is the cheapest place if you have membership, second is amazon.
I'm new to the Nespresso scene (so a little late) I purchased a Vertuo-plus machine & enjoying it so far, especially with the more selection of coffee capsules but I use to have a dolce gusto machine before which was perfectly fine taste wise & actually in making a decent cuppa, I would buy the starbucks pods for that as I found them to taste better over the dolce gusto brand. Mostly drunk latte & cappuccino's but I think I'm missing & need to purchase a milk frother in-order to get that far better experience & taste that I feel I'm missing from my Vertuo-plus machine? So I've decided to go for the aeroccino 4 as it saves changing over the spring & with 4 settings all on different buttons makes this more easier to use & appealing to me. After watching most of your videos & a new subscriber to your channel (which is pukka) 😎 I find your information very informative & honest to your viewers 👍Thanks for all the time you put in & enjoy your brews ☕
Thanks, appreciate that and glad you're enjoying the vids! Yeah I prefer the aeroccino 4 VS 3 for the reasons you mentioned. I don't know if you caught the 'Top 5 Nespresso Machines' video we posted last night? Only mention it as I prefer the taste of the coffee from the original machines myself and there's also more capsule choice from Nespresso in that range, especially the espresso size if you like lattes and cappuccinos the most. On top of that you can get the Starbucks compatible pods for the original machines amongst other brands but you can't for the Vertuo. Just thought switching to an original machine might be something to consider if you can be bothered with the hassle 😅
Hi there, I need help please. Which one would you recommend for oat milk? I am thinking of getting the Barista but just read a comment that it is t good with oat milk? Thanks in advance!
When your washed out the glass, did you dry it as well before pouring the new milk? I find if there's water in the glass then a lot of the milk froth disappears instantly.
What if you froth your milk up in the aeroccino 3 as normal, then give it a further spin on the cold setting?BTW you have the best nespresso vids on RUclips, hands down mate.
Thanks mate, appreciate that. I've never tried that but will see what happens when I next have the Aeroccino 3 out. Are you hoping that might give you more froth without the heat sensor stopping it from running a second cycle?
Hi there. I haven't ventured into latte art yet but I'd say just thick foam really. Have had some subscribers in the comments say they have achieved latte art with an aeroccino but others say not. Sorry I can't be more clear myself.
Just received the new nespresso for Christmas and it came with the free frother. I like it just fine except I always have to watch it to stop it from overflowing. I had one a few years ago and never had this problem. I have even put in less milk and it still overflows. Have you experienced this?
Hi there. We've never really had problem with the aeroccino but the Barista Recipe Maker can be prone to overflowing if you put more milk in than the recipe book recommends. These days I tend to hold the lid down while it's operating if I feel like it may overflow.
Hello A2B productins. How are you doing? 😊I use the chocolate monin syrup to make my hot and cold chocolate milk😊 i love the monin chocolate syrup for chocolate milk hot and cold. I love it more than making chocolate milk whit cacao powder or chocolate bar pieces😊 i love you,re channel and you,re reviews of the coffee products😊👍🏾👏🏾👋🏾😁 i love the Aeroccinno 4. Best hot and cold foam milk maker i think👋🏾👏🏾👍🏾😁
Thanks @A2B Productions. I,ve bought a 4 in one milk frother online. Its a dupe of the morcio milk frother and it was cheaper than the aeroccino 4. 👏🏾👋🏾😁☕️🧊
I’ve converted to a bean to cup machine by breeville best decision I’ve ever made. Better coffee, more choice, cheaper and much more of an experience. You must must try.
Thanks for sharing 👍🏼 I have been wondering if subscribers might like to see a few bean to cup machine reviews on the channel. I gave one a go in the past but have thought about giving it another try.
Thanks for the review! Does the Aerocino 4 make the milk any hotter than the 3? I always have to microwave the coffee for about 12 seconds to get it as hot as I like. Thanks in advance.
Hi there. We actually did a video testing the heat of these frothers recently in case that helps. It does get it hotter but only on the latte macchiato setting.
Good and difficult question! Depends what you drink really. For flat white, hot chocolate or mocha - and iced coffee too - I'd go for the barista. For a latte macchiato or cappuccino though I'd probably go for the aeroccino 4. I prefer the aeroccino 4 for ease of use and dishwasher safe. There's a lot you can do with the barista recipe maker though and we have a playlist now with all the videos we've made using it. I get the feeling we've still only just touched the surface with different recipes we could try though.
My Aeroccino 3 doesn't make much froth with semi-skimmed milk, so I now always use whole milk and I get a really good result. I have had it for five years and wonder if that is why? As it used to be great with just semi-skimmed.
Yeah that happened with mine I think and like you I ended up turning to whole milk but looking back it might have been worth trying a new whisk as that may have fixed the issue. Only say that as my Aeroccino 4 stopped frothing well at one point but was under warranty. Nespresso sent a new whisk out and it worked perfectly again.
Think I have shown the cold froth setting for each on my other Nespresso frother videos but not in the same video. Will see what I can do in future on that.
I actually have a manual Sage espresso maker with a separate milk foaming wand. The problem with the wand is that you cannot use it while you're making the espresso, so 2 cups of cappuccino take some 6 minutes in total to make: grind the coffee, compress it manually, insert the 'cup', extract espresso, repeat once; fill a separate metal jug with milk, foam it for 1-2 minutes (it's pretty slow); combine. I'm now considering getting one of these foam makers just to cut down on the foaming time...
Guessing you prefer espresso makers to Nespresso pods but my main machine at the mo is the Nespresso Creatista pro and really like that as it does coffee and milk at the same time and quickly too. We have a review of that on the channel too in case that’s of interest.
thanks for sharing I was curious to know the comparison between 3 and 4. Now you give me the answer. I just wondering if I would like to make more froths at that 4 machine, is that a good idea to push bottom again after first time has done ? Have you tried before? Thanks and happy weekend
Hi there. It doesn’t really work if you press the button again as the milk is already hot, so it won’t start the frothing process. Best to just use the extra froth setting and if you’re not getting much froth on that setting then you may need to ask Nespresso for a new whisk / spring, as you should get a lot of froth on that setting.
I am looking at a Magimix Citiz and Milk. It comes with the Aeroccino 3. Now I can't decide if I want to go with just the Magimix Citiz and buy the new Aeroccino 4 separately. The Aeroccino 3 looks nice in combination with the Citiz but it's also attached to the machine. Plus the Aeroccino 4 is newer. Any advise? Was looking at a Krups Atelier before but you don't recommend it right? Latissima One looks nice too but the frother doesn't seem as good as with the Aeroccino.
So many choices aren't there 😅 I personally like the aeroccino 4 as you never have to remove the spring and it also makes a hotter milk on the latte macchiato setting (we did a follow up video to this recently where we heat tested all 3 frothers) Yeah I'm not a fan of the atelier either and - while the Lattissima one made the nicest textured milk out of all the lattissimas we've reviewed - still prefer the aeroccino froth. Hope this helps a bit.
No problem, just mean that there are so many Nespresso machines to choose from and they function so differently too Hope the videos help you to decide, though. As for the Citiz we've had 2 now with no issues. First one lasted 5 years and was still going when I sold it to get a new colour 👍
Thank you for the great video I am not sure if I am misunderstanding something…the foam on the macchiato from the Barista machine looks much thinner than the other 2, less foamy? Is that correct? Thxs
Yes the barista maker creates a very different texture of froth to an Aeroccino. Less airy. One subscriber described it as more of a wet foam than a dry foam. I haven’t tried full fat milk in the barista yet though but will try and fit a comparison video in soon comparing different types of milk in the barista recipe maker.
Don’t think it’s recommended for the Aeroccino4 either really but I know a lot do experiment with what they put in. I feel much more comfortable putting stuff like that in the Barista Recipe Maker.
Thanks for the in depth video. I thought this would convince me to pull the trigger on the barista but it actually did the opposite; that foam is so disappointing! I'll stick with my trusty aeroccino 3 for now!
Aup pal, I wrote to you the other day about the incorrect espresso cup sizes! My coffee measuring glass came finally so i was able to test it out! The espresso cups are actually the right size (80ml). The issue is Nespresso machines brew just about 44ml of espresso which is why a double shot doesn't fit in the 80ml espresso cups! (Especially when you include the crema) With the creatista machine you can lower the water volume so it brews a 34ml shot of espresso so you can fit a double espresso in the 80ml cups perfectly. Like you said, you can program the other machines to brew the same, but most people are happy with a 44 ml shot of espresso I guess! My OCD was killing me but we figured it out haha :)
Love this 😃 Someone more ocd than me with this sort of thing 👍🏼 That's really interesting. Did you notice a difference in taste with the smaller espresso shots as the ristretto is supposed to be sweeter as the extraction stops sooner so less of the bitter flavours come through, as they come out later in the extraction?
@@A2BProductions I've not yet drank a double espresso brewed that way yet, I only used water when testing! Tomorrow morning I will brew a double espresso in the 80ml cups and I will let you know :) I might even make a video if I can be bothered lol! I've also figured out that the BEST tip I can give people with any nespresso machines is to heat the cups first with a bit of hot/boiling water, no matter what drink you are making. It makes so much difference if you prefer hotter coffee like me. (Unfortunately my only slight issue with nespresso is temperature)
@@SxyBeast360 Yup, ALWAYS pre-heat your cups! Also, consider this (test it a few times, just for fun): when you make a double espresso: compare a doppio made with just one capsule with a doppio made with 2 capsules... REALLY not the same taste to me. If you like bitterness in your coffee, one capsule is fine (and do it in 3 or 4 shots, ex.:1 big (40ml) then 3 small (15, 10 and 10ml). But if you prefer less bitterness, try 2 capsules, and only 2 shots of 40ml.
Hi there 👋 My wife doesn't like the dry froth of the aeroccino either... but loves the creatista froth. She also likes the flat white froth from the Barista Recipe Maker but to be honest that's all we really get from it, a very mild froth and it does take a long time to froth the milk. If I had to choose one for day to day coffee I'd choose the creatista and sure my wife would agree given how often she uses it 😂 Hope this helps!
@@A2BProductions Thank you, but it is too late 😂 I already ordered a Barista. There seem to be to many problems with the steam of the Creatista so I decided to go for Citiz and Barista. Have a good day!
Yeah I thought that at first but after making a few of the recipes I do like the Barista and my wife loves it, just very different to the aeroccinos. If you want just max froth then would say the aeroccino is the way to go. The Barista does do a lot that the aeroccinos don't, though, and creates a different kind of froth which is nice to drink. Will be posting more vids of the different recipes going forward in case that's of interest.
Did you try on Barista ro remove the top cover and make the froth this way? This is what i was said in Nespresso shop. With no lid, more air and more froth
All the recipes for the barista machine seem to be just for expresso coffee drinks. I’m more of a coffee drinker. Ie. 5 oz or 8oz cups / capsules. Why are there not recipes for coffee drinkers? Where can you find these modified recipes using the barista? Can you make up some? Also for these 5 and 8 oz sized coffee capsule drinks, how much Minion syrup could you use and what settings on the barista? This relates to my previous question. Thanks. Regards, 2020lens.
I’m afraid I’ve only really used it on the settings provided but hope someone else will be able to jump in and give you some ideas for things they’ve tried.
Yeah we find it good for flat whites and chocolate drinks but it doesn't create a thick froth does it. Some people have mentioned better results when using different types of milk.
I did wonder what the differences are. Between the 3 and 4 the 4 seems to be designed with easier cleaning in mind since you have to be careful not to get the base of the 3 wet. The result of that may be _shockingly_ bad if water got in there and you put it on the base!!
Fab stuff! Recently bought the Aero4 with the £79 Vertuo machine deal, (£50 worth of coffee thrown in, Nespresso have been a lockdown latte saviour!) My kids love the Aero4 for the decent hot chocs. Comprehensive vids, thanks!👍🏼🌈
Thanks, glad you liked it! Yeah my wife has used the hot milk from the Aeroccino 4 for hot chocolate and Horlicks too. Cheaper than using up all the Nespresso chocolates too 😅 Nespresso have had some really great deals on recently haven't they, nice to see one on the original machines at the moment too.
Thank you for the videos....does your 4 often overflow or spill out? I have seen many reviews were the 4 makes a mess even if you pour under the line. Thanks
Hi there. Mine came close a few times on the latte macchiato setting but don’t recall it ever actually overflowing. Were they filling it to the top line on the inside perhaps and then hitting the macchiato - highest froth level - button? As I’d imagine that might cause problems.
Have you tried the Latissima range with the milk function built in? We have one in the office and just add Cadbury’s Hot Chocolate powder (add to milk type) for a quick and easy mocha, but have no idea how it’ll compare to the Barista Maker quality.
Honestly we love the mochas from the Barista Recipe Maker, would honestly say they're the best we've had using the Nespresso chocolates. Actually made one for a friend not too long ago and joked that it would be the best mocha they'd ever had, they actually agreed that it was. I'll give your way a go too though as haven't tried that.
Thanks for that! Funny you should mention that way of making hot chocolate as we were talking about it in the podcast the other week. I need to be brave and give it a go as I always worry it might break it 😅
I use semi skimmed now as find it does the job with the aero 4 extra foam and we use that milk for other stuff too. Whole milk tastes nice too though, really creamy.
If you don’t want to follow recipes can you just heat 100ml or 150ml of milk with the barista? What pre-settings can you use that won’t damage the barista for just heating small amounts of milk? For the 100ml & 150ml of milk can you add chocolate to as to not damage the barista machine? Again, what settings would you use for this?
Any chance you could use all three on a normal latte setting and take the finished milk temperature. The barista videos I have watched always seem to give off alot of steam suggesting it gets hotter than the other two? Also I suppose a way to describe aeroccino Vs barista foam would be aeroccino = dry foam Barista = wet foam
Yeah that would work well actually as was thinking today it would be good to test the temperatures. 👍🏼 They really are hot out of the Barista but will be good to see by how much. Like that explanation. The skimmed milk in the Aero 4 showed it's more aerated with the aeroccino I think. Guess due to it being a whisk instead of a spring perhaps? Not saying that's a bad thing either (my wife can now enjoy flat whites using the original machine without feeling sick from the aeroccino foam). The Aeroccino and Barista just do different things I think.
@@A2BProductions yeah my understanding is that the aeroccino 3 has a one speed motor, so it spins quickly regardless of whether the whisk is installed or not and whether the spring is installed or not, on hot or cold it spins the same. On the aeroccino 4 it has a variable speed motor meaning it will spin very slowly just to move the milk around a little when you choose hot milk, same as aeroccino 3 when you choose foam and then fastest speed when extra foam chosen, so it can use just the one whisk with spring all the time since the volume of foam is determined by the motor spin speed not the whisk itself. Look forward to your future videos and good job building the channel 👍
Hola!
Are you brewing a cup of coffee or a shot of espresso? What is the machine you are using to do that? I did not find anything that looked like that on the Krups website. Thanks!
Thanks to your excellent videos and tutorials, I am the proud owner of a creatista pro and TWO vertuo machines! My question is... do I need the Aeroccino 3 ( that came with 1 of the machines ) when i have the Pro?
Thanks for that, glad you like the videos 👍🏼 Guess you don’t really need it depending if you have your machines in different rooms. I’d probably hold onto it though in case something happened with the pro and it needs fixing or could also be a good thing to take to a holiday home perhaps 🤔
With the aeroccinos I think I usually put between 100ml and 150ml in and that tends to work well. But yeah you can play around and find what works for you. Never thought of trying chocolate milk, will definitely give it a go soon and see what happens though. Cheers for the idea 💡👍🏼
Brilliant video thankyou. Been trying to decide between the aeroccino 3 or 4. Great to hear a fellow northern accent too although you might be more red rose whereas I'm the white rose side 😉 Gonna watch some more of your vids but I'm still swaying more towards the 4.
@@A2BProductions thankyou so much, that's the one I'll be getting tomorrow then. I feel like I'm listening to Peter Kay 😂 thanks for the videos, will be working my way through them all.
I have more than 7 years the machine but the aeroccino 3 didn’t work because the use . We bough a new one but it is not working. My nespresso machine come with the base and aeroccino together . They are not separated. Could you tell me if that is the possible reason because is not working? Pls answer me ASAP. Thank you
You can incorporate the foam into the milk with a swooshing motion of the Aerochono 3 or 4 after it's finished. You can get a thicker end product by doing so very similar to the Barista recipe maker albeit manual.
Comprehensive display of the three machines. Many thanks
Thanks mate, glad it helped!
My favorite cold coffee drink is a Nitro and the Barista makes it so perfect! Better then some coffee shops.
In my opinion the Aeroccinno 4 wins. It makes a realy high and super nice foam milk😊 i am gonna get one tommorow. Thanks for this review 👋🏾😁👍🏾
Got the aeroccino 3 integrated in the machine (on the side). It's just great, I like cappuccino and I'm in a hurry in the morning.
Sounds like a Citiz and Milk machine. That was the first Nespresso machine I owned! Glad you’re happy with it 😁
Thank you for your time and consideration. Much appreciated! 😁☕
No problem, hope it helped 😁👍🏼
I think it has more to do with the choice of milk.
Hi there, which one did you end up buying then? I was going to buy the Barista maker until I read your comment. Thanks
@@A2BProductions Thank you, I'm having a look through your videos and popping a thumbs up on them as I go :-D
Much appreciated, thanks 👍🏼
Very happy to have found your chanel. I am considering getting my first coffee maker.
You videos are very friendly and just perfect amount of info based on actual use. Love them. Already subscribed.
Awesome! Thank You! Be great to hear which machine you go for 👍
I have the 3 and I'm stunned that they made a product that you can only make ONE serving of froth at a time!
You can't do one and then do another without waiting for 15 minutes or so for it to cool down.
Hi 👋 Yeah it's not ideal but one solution we've found useful is to wash it out in between uses and bring the temperature down with cold water (dry it too) so you can use it again quicker than usual. Don't know if this will help but hope it does 😊
@@A2BProductions thank you! good idea.
I’m go glad to see I’m not the only one who has a original machine and vertuo. You get such different coffee. I have the creatisa and we love it! But the variety of coffee i got the vertuo just to be able to have regular coffee sometimes. Now I’m deciding between which frother!
Glad you're happy with your setup! You'll have to let us know which frother you decide on 👍
Thank you for the video to explain this contraption I purchased at an auction for $3. US I knew it was coffee related so very pleased.
Sounds like a bargain! Enjoy 👍
ooh I loooove the barista maker, I will get that eventually.
Glad it helped 👍 Yeah from what I've heard in the comments on various videos it seems the less you can touch the spring on the aero 3 the better!
I like it a lot.
thanks for the comparison! made me sell my aero 3 to buy an aero 4 which makes my daily coffee even better
Yeah we still think the aeroccino 4 is worth the extra £10 over the 3 too 👍🏼
Thank you for this video! Very detailed which I love…I am convinced to purchase the barista maker. Also, I just subscribed to your channel. I can not wait to try different recipes.
Thanks for subbing! Glad it was helpful 👍
@@A2BProductions yeah i only go for 100 ml whole milk and it really froth well
One thing missing - the Aerocinno 3 has an advantage over the Aerocinno 4 = it doesn't have a handle, making it easier to place/grab off/onto the base and the top doesn't have a spout rubber cover so the lid can be placed anywhere without faffing about
Yeah that rubber spout does need to be placed on perfectly or it won't sit correctly. I don't mind the handle too much as some people find it easier to pour the milk with the handle. I've never tried to grab the aeroccino 4 by the metal you know, wondering how hot it gets now 🤔 It is a bit of a fingerprint magnet though, so that's probably why I didn't try 😂
Thank you so much, for such wonderful video!🙏
So nice of you to say 👍
After watching your review I decided to purchase the Barista Maker. I am new to Nespresso and just purchased $500 of accessories from Nespresso.
Yeah it's easy to get carried away with the accessories isn't it 😅 As you can tell from our ever growing collection!
I have the 3 and it suddenly isn't frothing nearly as well. I was tempted by the Barista till I watched this but it's the froth I love so have bought the 4. thanks for this
Thanks for sharing! Hope you like the 4 👍
Nice review.thanks from the Netherlands
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the detailed video. Great!
Thanks for that, really glad it helped 👍🏼
Thank you for doing this video! It was so helpful
Thanks for that, really glad it helped 👍
Thank you for this well executed video ! i was hesitating between the 2 aeroccinos and i think i will go for the 4 !
Glad it helped you to decide, not easy is it but worth the extra £10 if you like the look of it 👍🏼
I have been watching you for a while, subscribed today, not sure why I haven't previously.
Ohh just found you! Great reviews and product demonstrations! Subscribed.
Glad you enjoy them and to have you as a subscriber 👍🏼 Thanks!
They dind sell the Aeroccinno 4 in stores 😭 only online
I bought an extra milk frother attachment so that I do not have to take it on and off, so I keep one with the spring on and one with the spring off.
Yeah we always make sure the glass is dried thoroughly too 👍
What if you froth your milk up in the aeroccino 3 as normal, then give it a further spin on the cold setting?BTW you have the best nespresso vids on RUclips, hands down mate.
Thanks mate, appreciate that. I've never tried that but will see what happens when I next have the Aeroccino 3 out. Are you hoping that might give you more froth without the heat sensor stopping it from running a second cycle?
Does the Aeroccino 3 or 4 produce silky milk used for latte art and things or only thick foam? Thinking of getting one :D
Hi there. I haven't ventured into latte art yet but I'd say just thick foam really. Have had some subscribers in the comments say they have achieved latte art with an aeroccino but others say not. Sorry I can't be more clear myself.
@@A2BProductions No problem thank you for the reply :D
Sounds great! We love the Aeroccino 4 too and really glad you’ve enjoyed watching the videos 😁 Will be more coming soon 👍🏼
Thanks @A2B Productions. I,ve bought a 4 in one milk frother online. Its a dupe of the morcio milk frother and it was cheaper than the aeroccino 4. 👏🏾👋🏾😁☕️🧊
Hope you’re happy with it 😊
I hope so too it isnt here yet. Thank you have a nice day👋🏾👍🏾😁😊
Very very helpfull. Many thanks!!
Glad to hear that!
Out of the 3 if you owned none of them and you could only get one and money wasn't an issue. which one would you go for and why?
Good and difficult question! Depends what you drink really. For flat white, hot chocolate or mocha - and iced coffee too - I'd go for the barista. For a latte macchiato or cappuccino though I'd probably go for the aeroccino 4. I prefer the aeroccino 4 for ease of use and dishwasher safe. There's a lot you can do with the barista recipe maker though and we have a playlist now with all the videos we've made using it. I get the feeling we've still only just touched the surface with different recipes we could try though.
Thanks for the good explanation of the difference between the devices. It helped me make the right choice, I chose the Barista
Thanks! Glad it helped and hope you like your Barista Maker 👍
Nespresso sent a new whisk out and it worked perfectly again.
can you show just on the cold froth settings please
Does the barista creatista nespresso machine allow cold frothing?
The creatista doesn't to my knowledge as it uses a steam wand but you can get cold froth from all three of the Nespresso frothers in this video.
How hot is the milk ? I have a cheap one to upgrade but I’m looking for hot milk, my current one is warm milk.
We’ve just published a short video where we tested the temperature of each, hope it helps - ruclips.net/video/Puox-8m3GDE/видео.html
Very good demonstration, I think one of the best.👍👍👍
Thanks for that, kind of you to say 👍🏼
Would you recommend pairing the barista with a CitiZ? - do you agree it would be redundant to buy this if you have a creatista line?
I got lavazza and saves me on coffee purchase its so good.
Nice video, thank you! I would love to see the Severin Spuma 700 plus vs the Nespresso Barista Maker :D, that would be awesome!
Thanks, and thanks for the suggestion too. Was thinking about trying out a few other brands of milk frother next year, so will look that one up 👍
Does the recipe maker make cold froth and a cold mocha (of course, it won’t be melting choc squares)? TY, videos are great!
i wanna be there to help u finish that first macchiato, thanks for the video
Yeah we went through a lot of coffee that night 😅 Hope it helped 👍
My parents have a latissima, would the barista add a nice value (considering making iced coffee and chocolate aswell) ?
thanks for sharing I was curious to know the comparison between 3 and 4.
@@A2BProductions Thanks alot, that really helped me!
No problem, just mean that there are so many Nespresso machines to choose from and they function so differently too Hope the videos help you to decide, though. As for the Citiz we've had 2 now with no issues. First one lasted 5 years and was still going when I sold it to get a new colour 👍
I'm french and I really had to make on repeat for the moment you said "So let's make a Mocha VAHIONOW" 😂😅12:23
😅
Nice job guys - thanks so much for this informative video.
Thanks Kevin, glad it helped!
Thank you for the great video
I am not sure if I am misunderstanding something…the foam on the macchiato from the Barista machine looks much thinner than the other 2, less foamy? Is that correct? Thxs
Yes the barista maker creates a very different texture of froth to an Aeroccino. Less airy. One subscriber described it as more of a wet foam than a dry foam. I haven’t tried full fat milk in the barista yet though but will try and fit a comparison video in soon comparing different types of milk in the barista recipe maker.
@@A2BProductions Thank you very much…now this is clear!
Hey A2B, I should call you for tips on Nespresso products. If you remember, I'm a contractor for them. You have great product knowledge.
Thanks, appreciate that! Always more to learn, though 😅
@@A2BProductions I'm going to send your channel to one of the trainers at Nespresso for the trainees to have a look at. Excellent channel.
Cheers for that 👍
Can we put any syrup, chocolate or alcohol into A3? For A4 it is not recommended. What about 3? Any idea?
Don’t think it’s recommended for the Aeroccino4 either really but I know a lot do experiment with what they put in. I feel much more comfortable putting stuff like that in the Barista Recipe Maker.
@@A2BProductions Thanks for quick reply. And appreciate your elaborate reviews! Very helpful :)
Thanks for the in depth video. I thought this would convince me to pull the trigger on the barista but it actually did the opposite; that foam is so disappointing! I'll stick with my trusty aeroccino 3 for now!
The aeroccino3 is still a great frother isn’t it. Thanks for sharing and glad the video helped 😁☕️👍🏼
(Especially when you include the crema)
With the creatista machine you can lower the water volume so it brews a 34ml shot of espresso so you can fit a double espresso in the 80ml cups perfectly.
Great tip, will try that myself! Look forward to hearing the results 👍
More expensive, for sure, but still cheaper than buying an espresso in a caffe/coffee shop.
The Pot is NOT dishwasher safe its only the lid minus seal and the frothier wheel and holder,
Are you referring to the aeroccino 4 or the barista?
My aerochino 3 doesn’t heat the milk up when I take the spring out. It’s quite new so meybe it’s faulty.
Just responded to your comment on our other video Garry, glad the videos helped you to resolve the problem 👍
Is the froth of the Barista similar to the froth of the Creatista you own? I don't like the "dry" froth of the Aeroccino.
Why would you ever pick Barista after that video? It looks like it barely does anything besides heating up the milk?
Yeah I thought that at first but after making a few of the recipes I do like the Barista and my wife loves it, just very different to the aeroccinos. If you want just max froth then would say the aeroccino is the way to go. The Barista does do a lot that the aeroccinos don't, though, and creates a different kind of froth which is nice to drink. Will be posting more vids of the different recipes going forward in case that's of interest.
Did you try on Barista ro remove the top cover and make the froth this way? This is what i was said in Nespresso shop. With no lid, more air and more froth
With the speed it spins the milk at I’d be wary of using it without the lid on. Have you tried it?
What is your favourite . Ive not got one looking to buy one
Can it make recipes or milk at high temperature?
Hi 👋 We do have a video where we tested the temperature of all 3 frothers in case that helps 😊
Thanks for the comparison, we're gifted the barista and so far cannot get a decent cappuccino... Aeroccino 4 looks much better in that case
Acabei de receber a minha barista e estou amando.❤
Great to hear 🙂👍🏼
Thank you; super helpful video!
Glad it was helpful and thanks!
Which is the fastest to heat the milk? Thanks
I'll give your way a go too though as haven't tried that.
i melt chocolate chips and 2 % milk in the first frother that comes with the machines .. great video on how all 3 of these work.
Thanks for that! Funny you should mention that way of making hot chocolate as we were talking about it in the podcast the other week. I need to be brave and give it a go as I always worry it might break it 😅
The barista does great job of frothing if you use the right milk it is really creamy I love using it , I find the others are just air not creamy
Funny you should comment as just thinking about this today for our final Barista Recipe Maker review. What milk do you like to use?
A2B Productions I like to use full cream milk , you have have to test the milks to find the right milk for you
I always preferred full fat milk in the aeroccino too for the creamy texture. Will try them all again before reviewing 👍
Hi, can you do it a figures o terminations of the type barista?
Thank you so much for the tips. What kind of milk you use for the extra foam?
I use semi skimmed now as find it does the job with the aero 4 extra foam and we use that milk for other stuff too. Whole milk tastes nice too though, really creamy.
A2B Productions does the barista maker does very foamy milk like the aeroccino 4? I know the 4 has that extra bottom for extra foam
I struggle getting a lot of froth from the Barista but it does still make some nice drinks when they're the typically less frothy ones.
Whats the heat like for the barista maker? Is it nice and hot
Hi there, it is yes. Probably the hottest of the 3 depending on the recipe. We posted a heat test video recently actually in case that helps.
Hi there. Yes you can just heat milk using the hot milk setting but it doesn’t froth it up much.
Any chance you could use all three on a normal latte setting and take the finished milk temperature. The barista videos I have watched always seem to give off alot of steam suggesting it gets hotter than the other two?
Also I suppose a way to describe aeroccino Vs barista foam would be aeroccino = dry foam
Barista = wet foam
Yeah that would work well actually as was thinking today it would be good to test the temperatures. 👍🏼
They really are hot out of the Barista but will be good to see by how much.
@@A2BProductions gracias! 💖 La buscaré
My number 4 the magnetic bit stopped worked 😢 now have a cheap one that burns to bottom every use
Are you brewing a cup of coffee or a shot of espresso? What is the machine you are using to do that? I did not find anything that looked like that on the Krups website. Thanks!
Hi there, the machine I was using to brew the espresso was a Nespresso Citiz machine. Hope this helps!
I’d probably hold onto it though in case something happened with the pro and it needs fixing or could also be a good thing to take to a holiday home perhaps 🤔
how do you know how much milk you'll need for a cup? is it a trial and error thing?
also, could we use chocolate milk too? or will the froth/foam be different?
With the aeroccinos I think I usually put between 100ml and 150ml in and that tends to work well. But yeah you can play around and find what works for you. Never thought of trying chocolate milk, will definitely give it a go soon and see what happens though. Cheers for the idea 💡👍🏼
Brilliant video thankyou. Been trying to decide between the aeroccino 3 or 4. Great to hear a fellow northern accent too although you might be more red rose whereas I'm the white rose side 😉 Gonna watch some more of your vids but I'm still swaying more towards the 4.
Haha, you know your accents well 👍🏼 I still prefer the 4 and have had it a while now.
Thank you
Hi there, it’s probably best to contact Nespresso about this as I’m not sure what the problem might be. Hope you find an answer though!
What kind of pods did you use?
We quite often use arpeggio in the videos, so would imagine it was that.
So the Aeroccinno 4 doesnt froth cold milk?
