Wonderful, refreshing rendition !! Played so very well with a style and approach that held my attention the entire time. As a trumpet player myself, this is very much a standard I've heard since my earliest listening years, yet wonderfully different enough to make me say: Yes !!
Note to self: Listen to more Purcell. The man was a genius, with a charming eccentricity. He died far too young.
Imogen is a wonderful, expressive trumpet artiste, well suited to Purcell.
Energetic and elegant playing!
Excellent interprétation of this Purcell’s sonata !
From Bayeux in Normandy, I tell you : Bravo ! ❤
Beautifully done. And a difficult piece to play! Sometimes the ‘easier’ pieces are more! Difficult because! Of their simplicity.
great performance on a difficult horn.
👏
You don't need a conductor for that
Lovely sound, young lady! The first movement was much too fast, the second dull, and the third movement brilliant.
Bravissimo!!!
