Kyle, back when he was funny and smart - one scene in one episode where he had lunch with Darren and Nancy, and Nancy had told Darren Kyle had a wife. After that the character sort of went down hill and never recovered. Picking Kyle's best SL is easy, picking his worst almost impossible. When the choices are drug dealing and living in his car, saying Scott was out of his league, taking money to help Sami frame James USING A BLOODSAMPLE - or, despite having been out and proud since he arrived, turning straight and in love with Nancy over night. Kyle's character development has been both ridiculous and disasterous at the same time. Something which is quite an achievement, usually it is either one or the other. The producers of Corrie must be scratching their heads wondering how Hollyoaks didn't manage to make a bigger splash after having "stolen" Adam Rickitt from them. Handled the right way, Hollyoaks could have gained viewers because of Rickitt's arrival. But because of the SL choices Kyle became one of the least favored characters for most of his time on the show. The James fans hate him, and the character in itself is being more and more pushed in the background. That his development is not prioritized is obvious, otherwise it should have dawned on someone that for someone with a criminal conviction job offers and permits to live and work in Switzerland would be a pipedream, and therefore the script would have needed a few changes. Hollyoaks had a uniqe opportunity, when casting Adam Rickitt as the gay character Kyle, to sort of continue what was so abruptly brought to an end after the first gay kiss on Corrie. But instead of fairly quickly preparing ground for a romantic SL for Kyle, Hollyoaks instead involved him in an off stage affair with a serial criminal. An affair Joel would have been a more logical choice for, since he and Ryan had a past solid enough for Joel to return to Hollyoaks solely on Ryan's say so - Ryan even had Joel on speed dial. Joel's own father, Warren didn't even have Joel's number. And for those who don't know, it is not usual for police detectives to have junkies numbers on speed dial - nor to have informants numbers that easily accessable. So the fact Ryan had Joel on speed dial, suggest the two of them at least had to be extremely good friends. With their history Joel would have been a more plausible K (also because J is the letter before K in the alphabet, and therefore could have been a secret code Ryan used not to reveal the caller could be Joel, should someone see Ryan's phone display one time Joel called). It is stretching coincidences a fair bit that the ex Nancy met after many years having come to a MS support group, not only should be her ex, but also have been with one of her neighbors the same night that neighbor killed his wife. Why should either Kyle come to Hollyoaks, or Ryan to wherever Kyle used to be? Don't Hollyoaks storyliners ask themselves questions like that when carpeting SLs? Had K been Joel it would have made sense both why Joel had come to Hollyoaks solely on Ryan's request, and how they could meet up with each other that night. But for Ryan to connect so firmly with a stranger that he both had that stranger's number on his phone as K, but that this openly gay man also was so into him he more or less stalked him after a one night encounter, makes very little sense. The other way around, a closeted man getting obsessed with an openly gay man, would have been far more believable. Still, because of how Rickitt plays Kyle, and because I see how great the character could have been - a smart, funny, confident and charming openly gay man who used his brains for good, and manipulated the manipulators - he remains my favorite character. Why he didn't turn the table on Sami, taped one of Sami's verbal threats against him, and told Sami he wanted 50 000 in compensation, or he would sue Sami's law firm for the same, Sami would have had to pay up - if not not only his job and legal career, but also his freedom would have been in jeapordy. And Kyle could have used the 50 000 to buy The Loft, or something, and that way have become a more central character. Had he been the owner of the night club, and Mitchell from time to time working there as a stripper, that could have been how Mitchell's gay side emerged. Instead of through Scott, a relationship which doesn't seem to have much support with viewers
It was obvious that his feelings are starting to come back for her when they were making Sami & Sinead's wedding cake. The one thing I need and want more than anything in the world is for them (Nancy & Darren) to get back together! I miss them SOOOO much!
I understand if she doesn’t want the baby! But that doesn’t mean she must force the same choice on the father! Their opinions matter too! It takes two to tango!!
Brooke isn't making ollie give up the baby. She even mentioned how she wouldn't mind him keeping their son. She simply gave him a choice. It would be entirely up to him. If he wants to raise the child, then it would be too hard for her to be around him.
Awww poor Ollie, I would love to see them raise a baby together. His determination to keep their baby is very attractive btw. You can tell Brooke is not gonna change her mind but I hope she does.
Ollie is not completely happy that’s he’s chosen Brooke over his son just look at quick he loses his smile when he hugs her. He and Brooke are going to come to an end at some point if Brooke does not change her mind because Ollie won’t be able to let his child go and why should he. He should of just chosen his son now.
nhlover Yh I agree it’s just gonna stretch out with him and Brooke when it could of just been simple he could of chose the baby and saved all the problems after
@@laylasmith1417 Because she didn't asked Ollie what he wanted in the first place, it was decided by Brooke and Nancy that they should give the baby up. We all have different opinions , this is mine and no i don't like Brooke, never have and it won't happen
Louise Pors IKRRRR! I feel like Hollyoaks is trying to glorify toxic relationships this season ; they aren’t surface level toxic but Brooke could not give a sh1t about Ollie tbh and it’s making me start to dislike her:.. She just uses her autism as an excuse for everything in my opinion but I’m no expert
@@annmorgan2020 I totally agree with you, Oh i have autism so every one needs to be nice to me even though i treat people like shit! And it's not helping that she lives with Nancy
Louise Pors PRECISELY!! Nancy is a weird one tbh , she wants Brooke to be happy no matter who else is miserable because of it. The irony is that Brooke is the exact opposite and just cares about herself. I’m not glad Juliet bullies her but I’m glad there’s someone who saw through her bullshit get out of trouble free pass. Also can’t get over Mitchell and Scott’s relationship on a side note. They seem so toxic and forced , Hollyoaks just switches everyone’s personality up for the sake of a storyline 😂😂😂
I’m happy for them although I still think they should give the baby to sienna since they deserve a chance and it works out since Ollie gets to be with Brooke and sienna and brody gets a baby and Ollie can still see that baby I don’t think Ollie should lie like that 👍🏻
It’s just a sticky situation to be honest. Both sides are reasonable. Brooke doesn’t want the baby since she feels like she is not old enough to take care of it. She still cares for it , since in one episode she doesn’t want the baby to be put for adoption and that’s the reason why she is giving it to Sienna. But Ollie wants to be a father , and losing your child is literally losing the whole world. You feel empty inside. It’s just a sticky situation.
Didn’t Ollie already choose Brooke and then change his mind? I think in the end Ollie and Brooke are gonna break up because Ollie isn’t gonna be able to let the kid go.
I seriously don’t think Ollie realises how hard it would be to raise the child on his own, Brooke has made her decision - he can hope all he wants that she’ll change her mind but it won’t realistically happen. Having another set of underage parents on tv keeping the baby isn’t realistic to real life
Big mistake getting back with Brooke but also another big mistake tricking Brooke as well! Honesty their such a bad match for each other, Ollie deserves someone who’ll love him and not act like a brat
Alyssa Wynn no he wants HIS son...she has forced him out of the baby’s life and not really considered him...she needs to see how he feels but she can only see what she wants
Ollie no sweety,it doesn't have to turn out like how u have it in your head.. he's gonna get hurt when he realize she still going through with the adoption

Emma Wright I agree
Iuri Managem his feelings never went away.
with mandy it was just lust, nothing else.
idk who you are Agreed, I mean in the winter trailer, he says to Nancy that he regrets leaving her.
Yh he went to Mandy without moving on completely from Nancy
You always should choose your kids over any man or woman.
Paris Minchella choose*
Dylan Gleeson lol
She did write choose correct
Sundus Mahamed she missed it out .....

Love how he’s putting her first for everything and she never even bothered to ask him how he felt about the situation to begin with 😒
