A real talent to sing this so stripped down with her beautiful vulnerable voice. There’s nobody close to her today. Amy you still so loved and so missed.
Amy Winehouse was such an amazing talent. This world lost her way too soon. There really isn't a bad song (in my opinion) by her. "Me and Mr. Jones", "Back to Black" and "You know I'm no good ", are my favorites by her.
Oh my God I forgot that Amy Winehouse is one of the most gifted singers ever she’s amazing so sad she died so young she is one of the best jazz blues singers that I’ve ever heard and there’s this young girl from Norway Angelina Jordan
I hear that voice and just start shaking my head. So much Tallent, so self destructive, gone way to soon how good could she have bin. Good to see you again Ms 🍣
Hey Sushi! Love that you're doing reactions again! You were my first 😉 and the only reactions I'm interested in. Remember, you're stronger than you think you are.💪🙂
It's so crazy you're reacting to Amy Whinehouse and of all the songs Valerie. I was just at a barbecue yesterday and we were playing this song and this version. I feel like her passing was such a tragedy. A voice that beautiful should've been protected.
Check out her duet with Tony Bennett. He was so saddened by her lack of confidence and self worth, he said she was one of the greatest female vocalists he ever heard, right up there with Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Billie Holliday, any of them. But she had no idea what a gift she had, and let other people control her and ruin her life. Thank God at least we have her recordings and a handful of videos
Mark Ronson what a producer and writer. She was supposed to sing the bond theme when she passed. Great to see you Sushi. BTW her favorite song was So Far Away from Carole King from Tapestry album.
Amy Winehouse had a remarkable voice & talent. Of course, like most of her fans, I never knew her personally, so I can only judge her by what's left...the music. I was hooked on her as soon as I heard her and her passing is one of the few 'celebrity deaths' that affected me (I had something in my eye, I swear). This footage puts across what a loss to the world she was; she had charisma, presence and she was a natural singer who didn't seem to need to put in any effort (I don't doubt that she did) to give life and character to a song.
Her live versions are the best versions! Amy Winehouse is one of the *VERY few*, none gangster rap artist I listen to. Unholy War, Hey Little Rich Girl, Take the Box, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, Love You More Than You'll ever know.
Amy was one absolute Badass... Juggernaut, beautifully, sparkling and muddy, speeding out-of-control Baldwin "Big-Boy" Locomotive! Another gift we can now only enjoy by pressing the PLAY button. Everyone saw it coming too, it wasn't even a surprise. However brightly she may have burned, then burnt out, there for a while we had her. We should be thankful for that. Rest In Peace Girl.
One of UK finest Vocalist Right there.. Amy was One of the last Grate Jazz/ Blues singers .. she was jazz/ Blues rooted but she was a hybrid mix of jazz and ska reggae/ lovers rock musicality’s, that’s what made her Voice so Unique sounding... the early jazz/ Blues era singers was the most soulful and versatile singers and Amy winehouse was cut from that original and authentic cloth.. Check out her Renditions of, Cupid, our day will come, what is it about man.. You will find her singing style fits reggae/ lovers rock like a glove Lots of ppl who has just court up to Amy’s undeniable Talent did not know this but you can Her that reggae flavour of the end of some or her runs.., she also has Renditions/ covers or interpretations of other artists songs that are better than the original, Renditions like, Love is a loosing Game and donny Hathaway’s, I Love You More Then You Ever Know.
@@markmoscatello9461 Ronson changed the arrangement for Winehouse to sing on his 2007 album, titled “Version”, and released as a single. The original was written by the members of The Zutons and is on their 2006 album “Tired of Hanging Around”.
Just tragic what she and we lost.... I feel selfish being sad that I never got to witness the timing , talent and tone of such a gifted angel... may she Rest in peace.
Back to Black is one of her best. Amy was a unique talent with an incredible voice and ability to sense music. She is still mourned. You looked like you were going to cry during this reaction. I imagine it was because of her great talent and voice and that she died way too young. What Amy could have done if she lived
R.I.P. sweet Amy 💔 She had that incredibly unique gift of being able to connect with those who were in pain - her lyrics, her music but combine that with her amazing VOICE and you have a LEGENDARY, ONCE IN A LIFETIME ARTIST....won 5 Grammys in one night. But gone far too soon....this world & fame was too much for her to cope with. She battled bulimia in her teens/20's, alcoholism/drug addiction in her 20's and the scumbag of a husband that destroyed her. Just toxic. *PLEASE REACT* to ‘Back To Black’ the official video to convey her emotions - it's about her 'husband' but tragically she paid the price for loving him. In the video she was burying her broken heart😢🖤 The entire *Back To Black* Album is a MASTERPIECE.....It literally saved my life....Amy got me through one of my darkest depressions - I'm forever indebted to her....like SO many others, we all wanted to help her too..... I'm Irish, so I adore her stripped acoustic songs in her 'Dingle' set - 'Back To Black" was so haunting, perhaps cos it was in Dingle Church....her voice didn't need any instruments (her band was delayed due to weather) Singing was like breathing to Amy - effortless. Other songs you *need* to check out - 'You Know I'm No Good'; 'Love Is A Losing Game', 'Me & Mr Jones' - the list is endless - and her covers were better than the originals! Amy references Donny Hathaway in 'Rehab' - "Cause there's nothing, There's nothing you can teach me That I can't learn from Mr. Hathaway" Her live cover of Hathaway's - 'I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know' - ruclips.net/video/362JArvhAqg/видео.html - one of her greatest performances.....mesmerising, haunting and such emotive vocals...basically what she did best.❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤 I will never the day she died - 23-07-11....just over 10 yrs ago. I cried for DAYS....I couldn't even listen to her music for over 6 months, and I still cry for her.....she was my Muse. I hope she is finally at peace🖤🌹
This is the an acoustic version not released the original version was bigger and more upbeat with lots of different instruments playing with her . Her vocals are almost the same maybe a little faster performance but it feels very different. Happy until you listen more closely. Thry made a wonderful documentary about her life and death . Amy i think. Was the name of it .
The original version wasnt hers its a cover the original vesion was wrote by a band called the zutons thats class aswell but amys cover of it is the best cover iv heard
Amy 💔 miss her so much! If you haven’t already checked it out, check out ‘Back To Black’, vocally, it’ll definitely give you the shivers, lyrically……..pure gold!!!!! 🤙🏻💚🙏🏻
A truly tragic story about her literally drinking herself to death. She had daemons that she simply could not control, and they ultimately killed her. Very sad, and what a loss to the music world, she was a one-of-a-kind talent.

"Vulnerable" voice..?? I beg to differ; the term divine power comes to mind..
I never cry, but when I hear amy sing this song it makes my eyes water. Her vocal control is unmatched and her heart is bigger than her tiny body
My eyes always piss tears when I hear thee Amy sing - please check out round midnight & just friends & in my bed

One of my favorite songs by Amy is Tears Dry On Their Own.
She hits you right in the feels for sure. Beautiful talent taken way too soon ❤️
I loved her music when I was younger and still love it, she was one in a millennium talent
Greatest vocalist/artist of her generation. Period.
Valerie is definitely a lucky girl. She has at least 2 great songs written about her. Steve Winwood’s song with the same title was also wonderful.
She was amazing, loved her jazz songs. The girl from Lake street dive and Amy were the greatest contemporary voices
What a shame 😔the way she left this world she had a unique soulful voice that reached deep inside your heart and soul 💔.
She sang with passion and feeling. She made you feel it. The great singers do that.
I keep meaning to tell you how beautiful your skin is. You always look so luminous and perfect.
Amy Winehouse - Stronger Than Me.
One of my favs from her
Good To see you back!
Poor baby. She's struggling so much with addiction, yet her voice is pristinely rough. One of THE GREATS. RIP
