Learn from Shuseki Shihan Anthony Codispoti during one of our Saturday morning Kyokushin Karate training sessions at The Phoenix Way in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, United States. In today's lesson, Shihan goes over several ways to get off-the-line of your opponent while still throwing punches, kicks, elbows and more. At the end of the altercation perform a sweep, get them on the ground and go for the finishing move or escape. Like our Kancho always says: Train hard and often - OSU!
This Master is always teaching pure Gold. Ive trained in several systems for over 35 years and STILL find myself inspired by the Phoenix Teaching. I'm going through a " Crisis of Spirit" right now, due to Life being " Life".....These sharp, technical sessions, as well as The Phoenix Way Essence has been firing up my workouts AND my Spirit of late.....Thank You....🙏
Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your feelings. I'm happy to know Phoenix has positively impacted your life. Anytime you're in our area, reach out to train with me. Osu!
Watch pretty much all of these Phoenix videos and it makes me want to train in KK (I'm a Judoka not a karateka). Where can I get this training in Melbourne, Australia?
Glad I switched to Kyokushin, all thanks to this channel. The feeling of impact - both taking and giving - is foreign to me, but it's unbelievably useful for real fighting. I think any art could benefit from the training though. I sometimes wonder if you took, for example, the Soo Bahk Do curriculum and shoved in some Kyokushin-style sparring, you could turn it into a respectable fighting art. Great lessons as always, Shihan. Osu!
Is this..I mean is this kyokushin..? I trained as a child and just started up again at 51 (it's hella hard lol), but looking at these techniques I'm wondering if they're really advanced Kyokushin or is it more Ashihara style or something else..?

Looks like real teaching to me. I think most people would benefit from this.

If you’re able to make it Yarraville. You can train Kyokushin at Chikara on Hyde street. Osu

Be careful because if you put to much weight on the left leg, the lateral meniscus could get damaged.
