I just happened to have paused it when it started flashing PAUSE, left to leave my desk, came back, and thought that RUclips had changed the paused screen. HAHA.
Loved the animation!
And I love Nachtmusik. Have it as my ringtone :)
Ahahaha that's fantastic! And thanks :)
Hahaha I love your commentary! That's how I feel about Tchaikovsky's endings sometimes. "Here's the end!...whoops, no. *Here's* the end...and again...and again...Ok, we're definitely ending sometime. Now! Nope....NOW."
My mind is blow away from the animation. Can I pick your mind?
Any time!
wow.. I enjoy watching those two dancing ^_^
Once I realized your vest and hair blend in to the background, I couldn't un-see you as a floating set of head and arms...also, Haydn sounds familiar to me, did he make 'Surprise'? (Not going to lie, I know that song from Nintendogs lol)
Yes he wrote the Surprise symphony! Most video game/ringtone adaptations don't include the surprise though, and it's fantastic. Another example of Haydn being a prankster ;)
Ya should be doing a regular show on the tv, yo. Like that one tune, “Got personality..”
I think you should get in touch with Tamara Wilson from exitstageleft. She has a channel guiding people through the ins and outs of the opera business. It seems like you two would have a lot of crossover as far as audience goes.
this is hilarious I defiantly subscribed :)
I SAID THANK YOU.
YOU'RE WELCOME...? is that what I'm supposed to say? haha
Would chaconnes or passacaglias make an appearance in your future Forms 101 videos?
Eventually, yes!

Hemiola sounds like a contagious disease I don't want to catch
Ugh...Haydn...stop. Just stop. He's such a good composer I can't even handle it.
Also, I'm quite partial to the minuet from Mozart's Jupiter Symphony. The second violin part is really noodly (hard, but fun to play!).
Oooh that is a fun minuet! I often get it randomly in my head but I can never remember which symphony it's from haha. Mostly because when someone says "Jupiter Symphony" the only thing I can think of is the Finale, with good reason ;)
The introduction to the subject was fun but as the video continued I found myself getting lost. I always ask myself would a ten year old enjoy the video. I have fond memories of watching reruns of Leonard Bernstein concerts for children with the New York Symphony Orchestra when I was young (please note that I said reruns, I am not that old). This video was a little too technical for my taste.
Also you should reconsider the background. Right now it looks like you are blending into it.
Sorry if I come across as too critical but I am enjoying your videos.
BTW, did you get the e-mail I sent you?
I do appreciate the criticism, and it is always a hard balance to maintain. A conscious part of my thought process is very similar to the, "would a ten year old enjoy it?" mentality, but mine is more along the lines of, "what would 14-year-old-Steve have wanted to hear?" And I suppose it's important to keep a little bit more of the audience in mind than that. It can be hard because some of these skills involve thought processes that young children just don't have, too... I'll have to consider it more for sure.
As for the background, that's something I'm acutely aware of -_- I just got a new lens and I'm getting used to it, and I just didn't have the camera set to take in enough light this time. I'm working on it!
Thanks again, and you'll find an e-mail from me in your inbox :)
Cooles nerd ever!
