Vintage Vox amps have that and couldn't seem to replicate it in the modern amps vox makes today. You can get it done with modern builders obviously but vox is the name and THEY didn't do it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Glad I've got my amps covered and long enough ago to get em dirt cheap👍

Dang - the grunt on that overdrive is epic. Pretty much everything played through this amp sounds like something Billy Gibbons would have played in the 70s. I mean, everything from Just Got Paid through Blue Jeans Blues would be monstrous through this thing. (Granted, so would millions of other things). Glad I got to listen.

This was great, I understand what you're saying about the feeling.
I started playing guitar back in 1974. Skip forward to 2005, a close friend allowed me to keep an original 1971 Marshall 50W Plexi with a matching 4x12 Cab from the same year.
Within the first 30 minutes of playing I was trying to figure out what I could sell to purchase an amplifier just like it.
A responsive amplifier can make all the difference, and usually does.
I'm sure amplifiers like those designed and built by Amplified Nation make a huge difference.
    Great content, thank you.

Amplified Nations dumble is sweet, but if you want something truly special, you got to check out James Price's dumble over at Omega Amplification. It does what the Amplified Nation does, but it does it at any volume, with infinite headroom and infinite sustain. You can literally pick a note, hold it and hear it bloom and sustain forever or until you let it go. It's truly the holy grail IMHO. Would love to see Phil try one out on his show, and can put you in touch with the owner np.

Really nice overdrive sound at about 6:15 min/secs. I'm listening on a THX certified system so I believe I have a pretty accurate representation. I also have golden ears...the clean beautifully warm, creamy and throaty...That amp makes even a strat sound good and I hate strats. Phill, I beleive your right just buy the amp and call it a day. I finally pluckned down the cash and bought a Marshall 100 watt JCM 900 and a 1960A 300 watt cab and What A SOUND! Not just the overdrive, beautiful no hiss sparkling cleans. You really need to start with a really good amp. I own about a hundred or more pedals and I'm not talking cheap pedals either and I don't need them all. They were a great learning experience but for all the dough I doled out for pedals I could have a few more great amps. Amps were also a lot cheaper a few years ago. My brand new Fender 1965 Twin Reverb reissue I got for about $850. Today you're going to shell out $1900. And, you have to have a Twin Reverd. Enough said. Good night Sally...

This thing sounds absolutely amazing- the balance and clarity is impeccable. The reverb is lush and warm- beautiful amplifier. If I ever win the lottery or find a big ole bag-o-cash, I'll buy one. OH- You could do surf music with it to- I bet. Get that guy form 60 cycle hum- he plays surf music- is that still what surfers listen to? Surely not. So, what's modern surf music like? When you went from Les Paul to strat….that was remarkable, it didn’t thin out, like mr Dumble got a specific type of sensitivity within the circuit….not gain per say, more like character. I mean the strat sounded like a strat,
Thinner smaller cleaner, IE single coil bark But the subtle grind character of both clean and dirty tone stayed the same. I’m an overdrive guy, MB…..flexible and reliable, and for what you get, reasonably priced in my opinion. But to change guitars I have to adjust the 5 band (big selling point for me) EQ. With that Dumble you really don’t have to do that😳. Fascinating video, I was literally shocked when the played the strat …..😮
