I had no idea why I had some certain quirks when I was young. It made me think I was broken (no one told me that, it was all internal). I gagged when eating certain things solely because of a texture. I hated my shoulders being touched. I wouldn’t respond verbally sometimes. I was too blunt. I threw temper tantrums until I was in my teens, and I still have meltdowns from time to time. I can’t make eye contact. I actually carry silencing headphones everywhere to throw them on if I hear certain noises (loud noises ie bus stopping, balloons popping, fire alarms, multiple conversations at once, drums, and some other things). I want to be a professional paleontologist too, and I’m in college. I don’t like this college. I’m switching to community college this next semester, because this is causing me too much anxiety. It’s so unpredictable and I hate it. I was honestly amazing when I found your channel. There’s someone else just like me. Another autistic person who has a passion for dinosaurs. So thank you for putting yourself out there. It’s helped me realize I’m not alone in this fight so to speak. I hope you continue to get good contacts and I hope you continue to give lectures about this.
