FANTASTIC JOB & VIDEO! I am so Pleased with your style of teaching, as I am passionate about vintage Barbie and Ken dolls, you gave me the confidence that I can bring them back to their old splendor, to once again, cherish them as they have been cherished a long time ago. I am a Historian by Heart and I want to treat them with as much care and respect as I would with any other ancient artifact. With much Gratitude and Appreciation for the work you do. Thank YOU for showing me the way! 🙏 PEACE
It's amazing how well this video did for you, comparatively. I didn't watch very much.. But just wanted to acknowledge how well it seems anything ASMR related can do.
Yes you must be careful with heat. Side note- heat is how people fix Barbie noses as well. But they can definitely go the other way. So sorry to hear about your dolls.
What shampoo do you use if the hair is dirty? Wouldn’t you want to wash it if it hasn’t been washed in 30 years? Can water get I side the head through the hair plugs? Some people out the dolls in a bath. Seems like that would encourage water to get inside where moisture could cause a problem for the vinyl. Thank you and i njoyed this video!
When do you consider a Barbie as vintage? I still have my kid's Barbies year 1990's. Are they considered as vintage? Also, how do you pack loose Barbie dolls without boxes for shipping?
Vintage is considered 20 years or older from the year you are currently in. It helps to add decades to listing (ie Vintage 90s, Vintage 70s). So yes 90s are Vintage. Although I reuse many boxes, I actually stock 12x4x4 boxes strictly to ship Barbies in. They are light and 1 doll usually weighs about 10-13oz. Doll is wrapped in tissue paper and inside a plastic bag, then boxed.
Hey I’m new to reselling barbies, can you give me some identifiers to know if my dolls are in fact barbies as opposed to some other Mattel doll line. Thnx
You can check out my Barbie Resource videos. I am hoping to do one on clones when I get enough info to share. But those should help you in the right direction.
That's a tough one. The 'skin' has changed throughout the years to prevent that as well as discoloration and melting. Topical mold (that which is on top and not seeped into the skin) I would begin with mild antibacterial type of soap. Boiling or using hot water (please be careful can also help with removing tough stains and bringing the color back. But please note: use test dolls before using your real ones first. Also if you choose to use magic eraser keep your strokes one way and limit the number of times you pass over. Also read warnings about magic eraser and porous. I hope that helps-
I enjoy cleaning and redoing Barbie dolls also as it relaxes me.❤😊

I love watching your videos and I really needed this one. Thanks for the shortcut hair cleaning. Cheers 💃
You are so welcome! Time is always an issue. So shortcuts are helpful.
Well, I steamed two vintage Barbies - huge problem - melted the tips of the noses! Please take care - please don't steam the faces!

What is the best way to get mold off dolls?

Hello, my barbie’s body is getting yellow because of sunlight. How can i clean it? The face skin and the body skin now are in different colors :(
There are videos on YT that talk about how to get the color back co0rrectly on dolls. I havent done it myself but they give good tips.
Why don't you give them a bath in the sink? Wouldn't it be easier?
there hips look odd
