This is why I started with a v6 mustang, learned how to really handle it, and have now moved up to a v8. And before someone says mustangs can't corner, with good suspension upgrades and of course, driver mod, they can.
@@Jac.be.quick9058 I've ridden shotgun in a gr86 like yours on the track with good tires and a great driver, there were some 'vettes with bad drivers that day. We beat the tar out of 'em.
Quit holding the inside of corners. Identity an apex and aim for it. When you dive straight inside, you create this long midcorner phase and also increase risk of pushing wide on exit, especially in decreasing radius corners.
Thank you for the tip I will definitely take them into consideration. The reason I’m holding the inside is just in case I lose limit of grip, giving me some extra space to catch the car. Especially on a back road. If it was on a track yes I would not be apexing as early 👍
@@Jac.be.quick9058 Deeper apexes are actually safer for these reasons and give better visibility. Trust, have a few hundred thousand backroad blasting miles under my belt. It's both faster and safer to go deep. This is the biggest reason I catch a lot of faster cars is they are part throttle waiting for the exit to open while I'm rotating and WOT pre apex because things are lined up already.
If you're in the Austin area there is Lime Creek!.... It is a bit of a hot area though, because everyone goes there. I've been there once on a spirited drive and it's a pretty fun road
Damn where is this? I’d kill to have a backroad like this locally that isn’t littered with houses. Every half way decent road in southern NE has driveways all over
whats the technique you use to judge speed in corners you dont really know? i know the one were you invision the sides of the roas as 2 parallel lines, and whenever they intersect in the distance, you use that crossover point as a boundary and you speed so that if the point was a straight up wall, you could break before you hit it. when it disappears you just continue to gun it.

That's true, the driver really makes a big difference to the capability of any car
I wondered why the speed felt so fast compared to the dashboard, but it was in miles, not kilometers.
It's a great ride.

Aww sweet yea I’ll definitely try that technique next time 🤙 thanks again for the tips
I agree with this. Your vision is also quite close, causing your throttle input to be on the later side.
Touge Beast Mode!!!
Usually the camera makes even extreme driving look slow but not with you. You're fast as fuck

this is crazy, amazing driving!
You certainly know your car, i think you definitely could've down shifted in a lot of corners to keep rpms up.
