If you're struggling with bosses, just remember... in souls games you can only dodge on the ground. In AC6 you can dodge up. I know you know that, but if you find yourself being hit even after dodging, that attack probably needs to be dodged upwards
True, but AC6 doesn't have s on the dodge however. For me, that was probably the big thing to unlearn.
@@celesteporterstout true, but s or not, you still need to time your dodge. Unless you play a speed build, which allows you to spam dodge to a certain degree.

He knows the attack patterns by heart and had the speed to avoid the missiles, with a similar build and practice you can do it too.
Now for fun, beat Balteus on the starting AC, one he'll of a challenge.

@Dante_themaninthemirror The base rifle is actually good, the missile pod is not the best but fast reload giving a good dpm but you need a second one. It's not taking 15 minutes I assure you specially if you abuse that blade.
The major problem of that build is mobility, the base generator is horrible and the booster while super efficient energy wise are slow and have a long QB reload time making chain dodge difficult. That is a problem if you want to survive anything...
The 3 things I changed on the build are:
-Adding another missile launcher like the starting one.
-Changed the generator for the quick recharging one.
-Took the "tri-boosters" to boost mobility because the base parts are too lacking. Other options are good too for more offense but these really "boosted" my survivability.
Other than that the rest, even the color is starting build.

At minute 3:06 you seem to kinda keep your height without losing (or gaining) EN. Is it due to those NG++ trusters or do you use controller setup 2 where the triggers are used for thrust? On PC triggers don't seem to have different levels of input, it's on or off. Or am I missing something else and are you simply freefalling but due to camera angles it doesn't look like it?
Regardless: very well done! I learned quite a few things looking at this video, amazing eye for enemy telegraphs!
It is the same on controller, regardless of controls, its either ON or OFF. The upwards momentum of his vertical boost, on top of booster On of course as seen on the HUD, gave the illusion of hovering when in reality it was gliding, or very slowly falling down. Boosters play a role there aswell, since some have better vertical power, thus slowing down the fall even more. You can also see that he is no longer boosting upwards and just briefly hovering before slightly descending since the only booster that was showing flames or exhaust where the back boosters, when he ascended the small boosters on his legs were active, indicating that he was pressing the booster button.

@@LaNoches it is not alot that the "Boost ON" affects, but it does it slightly, it is noticeable when i stop flying upwards and let go of the booster, you hover a bit longer before accelerating and falling down.

Mannnnn watching someone trivialize the sea spider fight is painful, that gave me so much trouble lol.
I was stuck on that damn thing for 4 days then I BARELY squeaked by. Started a new game the other day and those early bosses are cake. The game really instills getting guder as you progress

how do you even reach max os level? i've gotten some plenty of os points after clearing the s rank arena but is there another way of getting os points?
NG+ and NG++ has more arena opponents

To add to that, yes you can max out every OS option (there's even an achievement for doing so).
You can max it out once you finish the NG+ Arena, which gets its last entry in Chapter 3 - make sure to do all the new NG+ available missions as well.
NG++ has more arena stuff, but it doesn't reward OS chips, but instead has more parts.

Just play New Game Plus yes. Allmind will give you new arena fights to do in New Game+ which allows you to get a lot more OS chips than previously, and by Chapter 4 you'll get every OS chip you need to max out Tuning.

I love how this game feels. It's a mix of Gundam and Metal Gear with a touch of Nier. Very little dramatic music as well
idk about that. some of these Hans Zimmer 80s scifi synths had a lot of drama to them in some boss fights and cutscenes

Dude can flatten Balteus like that and people say this game is hard. You just have to learn and adapt. All bosses have an effective strategy. Yet, I saw a guy beat the game with no weapons equipped so you don’t even need specific builds as long as you can build a good plan of attack.
not everyone can nolife games like a paid job cheif. Dificulty for the sake of dificulty makes for a shallow game.

@@TheRocketdrive Nothing in this game is hard. I only died a handful of times throughout my entire playthrough (3 complete playthroughs for all endings). By the second playthrough I was taking out everything without a single death. And during the first playthrough I usually never died more than 1 or 2 times on a boss, and oneshot many of them.

Designing choices. Some AC are chunky, and in any AC games you can go for the tank build if you want to as well.
the skinny mechs are lightweight builds with high mobility at the expense of armor.
op had 7420 AP in total, whereas a regular biped build usually has between 9000 to 10000 AP, and tank treads or quad leg builds could go between 11000 to 16000 AP

But it also unlock a few other miscellaneous function. Like boost kick, hand weapon switch and expansion etc.
You're not really becoming "over level" from it.
It's your unlocked late game weapons and parts that makes you busted.
So let's see your got max os tuning meaning you've beaten the game atleast 3 times or more and you've studied the bosses pattern down to a tee. Not impressed,if you sink enough daylight into this game and play nothing but it then anyone can do this . Tell you what take your starting ac,don't upgrade anything and then show me how well you fare against balteaus if you can beat him with your starting weapons and systems I'll be impressed.
