- I took an overnight ferry from Hokkaido to Tokyo Japan and I tried first class premium room for the first time. Traveling Japan by luxury overnight ferry can be a unique and relaxing experience. It was amazing to watch the sunrise from the balcony.

The room is awesome but I can’t get over how funny the all hamburger buffet is. Would have loved to be in the meeting where they decided on that.
As a Great Lakes ferry captain and one that has sailed in many waters, I would say that the first vessel you pointed out as a fishing vessel could or could not be that. You were a long ways off from her, but her profile leads me to believe that she is a crab boat without pots on board. The second boat you pointed out is a trawler. Definitely a fishing vessel.
I shall never tire of the cute misspellings like "soup" for "soap".
I recently lost my dear wife to pancreatic cancer. We used to travel by ship, by train, and by car. We had retired and we looked forward to spending our sunset years together. But it was not to be. Now I don't want to travel because if I return to the places that we visited together, the pain of remembrance will be too great. And sadness will overtake me. These calm and interesting videos somehow give me comfort for I can stay home but still share in the experience. Thank you.

Premium cabin on a Japanese ferry is like stepping back into the 1950's television where the husband and wife said good night in matching twin beds.

The first class room with balcony reminds me of those found on a cruise ship comfortable and well appointed.
I love the balcony in this room. It would be a wonderful space to sit out there early in the morning, have a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise ❤️
