Didi abhi ke time me , bds karna ek middle class accha option he kya , means can we earn just like mbbs doctors after 8 years and live luxirious life just after our mds ?
Same question
In BDS it completely depends on your skill. Dental intern at present and I can tell you that the success rate is directly proportional to your clinical work if you want to practice.
Also consider that MDS has very few govt seats throughout the country in comparison to MD/MS/DNB etc.
@@indiedora thanks for ur valuable time and answer !!
Dentistry can be a rewarding career, with potential to earn well, sometimes even more than MBBS doctors after several years. But there are important factors to consider:
1. Costs of Education: A government BDS seat offers lower tuition, but the expense on instruments is significant-much more than the stethoscope requirement for MBBS students. Private BDS seats can be costly, which may add financial pressure, especially for middle-class students.
2. Career Flexibility: Dentistry provides options such as private practice, medical officer roles, and MDS specialization, offering independence and growth potential.
3. Limited MDS Seats: MDS is highly competitive, with limited seats across all categories, requiring consistent hard work and top performance.
4. Practical work: You will be very busy during your entire curriculum as compared to MBBS students since you will be doing practicals all day...and it's not easy to keep up at times.
So it all depends on your perspective, interest, financial stability and your passion which you land you probably at the topmost place in dentistry!
You're still too young to think about all this, but understanding them can help you make an informed decision.
