I’ve gotta say, these copper keycaps look absolutely stunning. The way they shift between rose gold and copper in different lighting makes them feel like more than just keycaps-it’s like jewelry for a keyboard. I can totally see these elevating any setup, especially with the Wooting 80HE, which already feels premium on its own. I do wonder, though, if the weight of these caps will affect long-term performance. With metal being so heavy, I’d be a little concerned about the durability of lighter switches over time. And man... $300? That’s a lot for keycaps. Like, I get it-luxury comes at a price, but for that amount, I’d expect them to be flawless with zero chance of scratching or damaging my switches. Still, I’m tempted to grab a set, maybe just for the modifiers and numpad. Your review is making me rethink if aesthetics are worth the cost, and honestly, they just might be. Great content as always, Tristan!
I've said this a couple hundred times as I only use alice, the second that they create the alice spacebars I would 100% buy 2-3 kits of this just because of the concept of longevity.
@@herrjohnssen sorry I should have been more specific, I meant Alice as a generality for their store. This copper eagle set looks gross (imo). Much prefer the matte finished darker/neutral colors
@@TristanPopesorry haha, it’s just the bias of seeing all the “blinged out” silver/gold Amazon keycap sets you can get for like 30 bucks. The matte just looks more in line with my tastes.
Heres an idea: make a video where you do a sound test with just spacebar, then spacebar + WASD, then WASD + spacebar + FJKL; (10 keys). I get the sense that just having just the metal space bar will add enough of that deeply satisfying metal sound to your overall typing for people to want it. Then if enough people want that maybe the company can sell just spacebars or just WASD or 10 keys or something, for a far more reasonable price that more of us can access.
@TristanPope the only minor complaint I've heard against the cerakeys is that the F and J keys don't have a bump to find them easily. Put ASDF and JKL; in the copper eagle so they can be found easily and the rest in cerakeys and do a sound test. I bet the thock and rhythm in that mix will be insane.
@@TristanPope I was about to pull the trigger on that Keychron HE board when they dropped in the Angry Miao / Dry Studio discord that they are making a DR Black Diamond 75 RT that has HE switches. They are asking for some early buy in to beta test so I signed up. My only worry is sometimes that Angry Miao software isn’t the best, but I like the over the top designs.
@@nottheonlyjustinhonestly out of all the Hall effect I’ve tried now, the Wooting is bar none the best. It’s kinda crazy how different it is. But I’ll check out what you’re talking about for sure. Where can I find a link?
@@TristanPope they haven’t released it yet, they legit just dropped a form in their discord to apply for beta testing. Once it has a link I’ll send it your way.
Well since Artisan has been re-purposed for mech keyboards and deviates from the ACTUAL defnition. It can be considered custom keycaps that deviate from the standard keyboard keys in terms of design and appearance. However if I was to answer your actual question, the answer is "Thank you for feeding the algorithm, it doesn't discriminate between trolls and legit comments." Elevate your fellow humans, don't bring them down.
What do you think? Worth the cash?

It is a really hard call. They do have a beautiful aesthetic!

The longevity argument is quite strong with these for sure! Didn’t even think of that. Good call.
They sell an alice addon kit for 55€

Gotta respect the aesthetic, even if it’s out of my price range.
Truth!
It’s cool how the metal caps change the sound profile. Definitely a luxury upgrade.
Yeah a completely different sound profile!
Man, I said I wouldn’t buy any more keyboard stuff... but now I’m reconsidering everything
We've all been there 😂
I love the way these sound on your Wooting! Might need to upgrade mine now.
Yeah they make the wooting sound really nice!
That copper finish is NICE. I wonder how they'd feel during long gaming sessions.
So far, I have enjoyed them but I have to say, after swapping back to PBT caps, yeah... much better for aesthetics and looks than gaming sessions.
These are kinda over the top... but in the best way possible.
TRUTH!!!
that metallic ping on the spacebar is so clean, but man, i’d probably scratch my switches installing these
I hear you. I am not sure I'd install a set of keycaps on my entire board that can to scratch my switches.
Loving the sound of that spacebar pingadds a whole new vibe to the thock.
Yeah it is really pleasant!
I love your honesty in the review. These look amazing but $300? ouch.
They really are a big splurge.
that thock on the wooting with these caps tho 😍 i’m obsessed
right? It brings the wooting and HE switches sound to a new place.
The weight of these must feel amazing to type on. Do they mess with the switches, though? magnets and such
They do not interfere with the Hall Effect magnets and the weight makes it so you will need a heavier spring in the spacebar.

The space bar is actually the piece I took off most from all my builds. But I get what you’re sayin.

@@tonydeveyra4611the Cerakey have a much poppier vibe to them. Awekeys are more of a deep thunk. You can check my Cerakey video if ya like :)
Honestly, these caps make the keyboard a statement piece. Too bad they cost more than my groceries. 😂
I can't argue.
not sure about metal keycaps, but they look hella cool tho
They do look cool! They feel great too!
Full board feels like overkill. good call
Haha thanks :) I think it looks really nice
You should do a give-away for these, give them to someone who can't afford them.
But I like them ;)
this setup looks straight 🔥🔥🔥 too bad my bank account won’t let me join the fun
Yeah I understand it is unfortunate. Wish they would price it better.
These would look perfect on my black and gold build. Now I just need to justify the price 😅
Oh yeah that would look nice!
My fingers get sweaty af gaming all day lol these would be slippery
I mean yeah they do get sweaty if ya go hard but generally remain cool to the touch!
They sound so good... but imagine paying $300 and not even liking the feel 😭
yeah that would be terrible. Not sure their return policy.
The copper looks cool, but the reflection from my RGB might be distracting af at night.
Yeah I could see that. The RGB shines through BRIGHT but I love that aspect.
Does anyone know where can I buy a all metal keyboard (black) and usb c braided cable in (copper color) to pair to these keycaps?
You would need to buy things seperately.
I have the Wooting 80HE too, and now I really want to try these caps... but my wallet’s like NOPE 💸
After the wooting yeah hard to justify.
no way my dude but good review
haha i feel ya
Man, these keycaps are 🔥 but $300? That’s steep for just caps.
Yes it is.
Wish they offered a cheaper version-these are gorgeous but way outta budget
Yeah maybe they will!
Around 5:28 why it start to sound like scooby doo running?
Different switches. Jade max. Also I can NEVER unhear this now lol
