Yes! I agree! At first I was also hesitant but now I really like him for this choice. He took control over something that was trying to take control over him (by embarrassing him) and that's a really strong and cool move! He turned something embarrassing into something cute!

What is wrong with his skin colour? I always thought tanned man is more handsome than all the white-washed guy. Mingyu is tall, dark and handsome, as a man should be.
@@AnonymousAnonymous-ps5lg Nothing, but he has received comments from people, mainly in his younger years, because his skin tone tends to be a bit darker that the ones of his fellow members, I assume it is something that is not generally popular for an idol in Korea, or maybe he has received bad comments for that. Either way, it is something that has made him feel kind of insecure, in some vlives he has complained about being “too dark”, a “potato”, and I just think that he doesn’t need to change a thing, he wouldn’t be Mingyu without his features, and that would be a shame.

when carats were mad the minute they introduced the miniteen then mingyu logged in on weverse as fast as he could to explain and clear the air HAHAHAHAHA yep i could still remember it clearly

when the miniteen was released, carats went mad at pledis because carats thought they (pledis) didn't respect mingyu's wish (for him to not be called a potato) and decided to portray his miniteen as one (kimja 🥔). carats called the company out because of what they did and the issue trended on sns about pledis not being considerate to their employee/idol/artist. an hour or two passed, mingyu cleared out on weverse that it was him who chose kimja.
aaand on this video, we see how kimja was brought to life by none other than mingyu himself.
