Amtrak’s Triple California Zephyr going through Bartley, Nebraska on July 14, 2024

The California Zephyr was running very late in California due to a couple of issues so another locomotive was added to the train to assist. It departed McCook, Nebraska 11 hours late. I’m hoping in the next day or two here in southwest Nebraska that we will be out of the 100 or over degree range for temperatures because I really do not like the 100 or over degree temperatures at all just as far in the lower to mid 80s and that is all.
Temperatures today: 104 degrees and Breezy
Tomorrow’s temperature: 103 degrees

I think they will make Lincoln with time for a good nap before they bring #5 back to Denver. Nice video. Take care, stay cool, and safe over there.
