I don't get it, if you are a real fanboy, you should be furious to see this piece of crap at this price point. I guess fandoms are different these days, just shove anything down their throats instead of wanting your fav company to do something meaningful/unprecedented.

The classic fanboy is one who fails to critically analyse a product and only supports it even if it is obviously a bad product. This is why this stupid product exists still, there are people buying it who think it’s a good product. The same argument for Xbox vs PlayStation fanboys for example. I have many Corsair parts, this is truly a stupid machine. It should not be thought as a good buy. Far from it.

    • @echtogammut

@@maplestory7940 Personally, I think a lot of the micro computers on the market are too small and are really hard to work with. I'm kind of tired off all the micro cuts on my hands and hours or carefully bending and resoldering cables to fit. This is small, but still able to be easily built.
I think the front panel of the case is just screaming for custom panels. I don't know if it is original, but considering the stupid amount of money I've spent on Kickstarter cases, that I spent even more money trying to find parts that worked together for... I'm in a head space where I'm okay with easy to build PC's that use standard components.

@maplestory7940 there are plenty of us that would love a ready to use case in this style. The North did pretty well once they finally got the things on shelves. Just cause we're artsy artsy doesn't mean we're not also lazy. 🤷😜

    • @maplestory7940
      @maplestory7940 24 дня назад

      @@Frentraken There's lazy and then there's demented.
Put a few chopsticks in front of a normal Fractal Meshify 2 case and suddenly it's 'artsy'. Ok at least that was a good case and whatever your build is it's still up to you.
But this? You are just willingly letting Corsair scam you, and you want to justify it by saying you are lazy, that it is artsy, when it's not even a new idea(the Fractal North you pointed out isn't original either). There's no originality, no functionality, and obviously not cost efficient. I'd rather get an overpriced Alienware laptop because even Dell monitors are actually decent.
Since you are that lazy you probably won't even clean the interior every few months, with that exposed gpu it's going to look nasty and since the cooling itself is already a sus, I can see this product dying in 2-3 years, if it survives it won't even be at 50% of its expected performance.
You could be richer than Renault but there are better places to waste that money on. Like getting a special limited lettered edition signed book. That's artsy and you can watch its price go up and up.

TBH, any kind of customization would have been great. I'm only seeing a 14900K/RTX 4090 option(I do see the 4080 option now. The light wood is not walnut colored. Walnut has a dark brown color. I would say it has more of a Birch color. And the one you have is Oak

What is preventing a 240 aio instead of that 120? Looks like that would fit with full sized fans too. Great content, ty!

4 grand for a loud system, bad thermals under load in a case that could have easily used an air cooled CPU with full sized 120mm side fans and no cooling for GPU VRMs. Der8auer was right. Lot's of marketing speak with little to show for it.

Really like the design of the case. Our entertainment center is all dark wood and metal, this would fit right in.

Pretty slick stock build. PSU wires could use some love and needs a bigger radiator for the processor, should just make the sides of the case radiators

I would be curious to see if 20mm fans would actually fit and allow the case to close without modifying the chassis or mounts.
Beyond that, I don't see the appeal for this case. or the system they crammed into it.

I like it for the size but the temps need to be sorted out. See if you can get them where it never throttles. I don't see that happening.

I don't get why they didn't use a 240 mm side mounted AIO . I would be interested if Jay tried switching the 120 out for this, maybe even with one of the new type of "pump in radiator" types. $4.5K is a lot of money for something that doesn't have custom loop and custom blocks, but it is a really aesthetically pleasing looking PC. It looks like they have a design engineer with a server background with the look of the internals. I still prefer to build my own though, despite having arthritis in my hands that slows me down a lot.

I have a 14900k with a 184mm radiator aphacool. I get 4.9-5ghz at around 80c when rendering videos with stock cooler power option. Even if I were to choose tower or water cooled option, I would be hitting same speeds ar higher temps. I have not run into issues like some people have experienced.

I like the SFF and design aesthetics, and agree that they probably could have gone w/bigger CPU AIO and fans.
It’s definitely nice looking and temps seem pretty good (and could be better as you mentioned).
I also agree with your thought that Corsair should offer these in a step down tier at a more affordable price point. They’d get a lot more takers one tier down at a price point closer to $2000-$2300.
Personally, that system as configured is way outside of any price point I would ever consider. I’ve been building my own PCs for 30 years now and could build 2 high end gaming rigs for the price of that system and still have a few hundred bucks leftover.

Please help with Corsair One i300 V2 CPU cooler. Can you make a video showing us how to install a bigger one? Mine is running in mid 20 - 30 c idle, the moment i open up a game it jumps to 60c.
Also, do a complete teardown for i500, checking the GPU for any custom works like the i300's GPU. As for custom works for the i500, enhance the cooling for it, like larger or thicker fans and coolant radiator.
