Yeah I'm excited for Smite 2 but I don't think smite and smite 2 can coexist and both be successful. The player base isn't big enough to sustain both, they'll have to eventually kill smite 1
I definitely see this happening but I think Smite will still have some good mileage until Smite 2 really picks up
They will let Smite 1 die slowly. No more updates, maintenance mode, people will move up to Smite 2. It will be fine.
itll be until smite 2 gets rolling when smite 2 is up and running smite one will for sure slow down on updates except maybe hot fixes. then eventually skins events etc in smite 2 will naturally bring its fanbase over. Everyone is so worried about "low rez" issues forgetting that ue3 is way past its expiration and ue5 will be way easier to patch and code. im so excited for this, being at worlds for the first with the announcement of smite 2 brought back my passion. Ive played since beta released and have been slowly losing love but this my excitement is through the roof

One thing I like about season 11 is that they are removing cdr from a lot of items. I feel like cdr is so broken but it doesnt matter because any build you would be going would practically already get you at least 20% cdr. So i hope they make it feel like you have to actually go out of your way to get 40%

As the cab i can say, don't play him solo cause he sucks at clearing the camps solo in the beginning. Also, gilga is such a bad match up
Bu bu bu predictable means of getting mana back deaths toll does better. I wish cab was good solo but you gotta have an aware jungle :c

I don't understand why they're supporting Smite 1 and Smite 2 at the same time, personally, I feel like it would make more sense to put every resource they have into making Smite 2 great so it makes money and gets attention if you run both your gonna split an already tiny player base in half. I hate to say it cuz its such an old classic game but when Smite 2 releases the best option is to shit down Smite 1 imo
I also think it would be cool if you could queue as many roles as you want, so you could queue only one role and wait in the long queue for that role or like, queue 3 if you don't like some yk? Like personally idk how to play ADC or mid well enough to be confident in ranked, so if I could queue the other 3 roles but 100% not get those 2 I think it would be nice
There are still players with weak PCs, others who do not have a ps5 or xbox one or simply who want to play with their skins. Most players will gradually migrate to Smite 2.
