Very sound advice on start time up Ben Nevis. So many (and many other YT videos) get this wrong and end up on Scawfell in the dark , just pointless especially if weather less than perfect. This video suggests start up the Ben at 1700, For the mountain fit, experienced walker, you can start even later, at 1800hrs in high summer. The really fit can aim to be back at your vehicle from the Ben in under 3 hours, Scawfell should take about 2.5 hours, Snowdon about 2 hours. Traditionally (60 years ago) it was done sea level to sea level. Dont drive like a maniac, there is no need to for the reasonably fit. Its not about the drive, its about the physical challenge .
I can get my VW T6 Campervan over the bridge to the National Trust Wasdale Campsite and Car Park , Seascale, Cumbria, UK, CA20 1EX where I filmed this video from, it would depend on the width of your vehicle. If yours is to wide its only a mile further down the road to the Wasdale Head car park. What 3 words for the bridge is ///grudges.bossy.suiting
@@exitthehouse brilliant thankyou, I've had 2 half knee replacements and I'm doing alot of physio and walking hills and steps, so I need the closest route for my first try at scafell pike

What route is the right hand route at junction? Corridor?
Its the Broad Stand / Mickledore route if you take the right path at Hollow Stones, more technical climb on scree and over large rocks / boulders
