    The key to this working is they are sat on a freely-moving surface. As they rock in one direction, the floor rocks the other way as a reaction. The floor slowly transfers the forces between each device, pushing them into sync. It's why soldiers are trained to break step on bridges, because otherwise they can literally shake a bridge apart.

      Has to be on a moving base, this allows for Harmonic synchronization to happen as the vibration is passed through the base they are on.

    Knowing metronomes do this is a new discovery that helps me link whole groups of puzzle pieces that I didn’t know could connect, before now.
    I can feel the presence of each metronome attempting to sync with another.
    Like if you vaguely understand.

    • @bomber9912
      @bomber9912 Month ago +3

      Because they are not really holding their speed. Because of the movable platform on cans the resonance drags or pushes these mechanical metronomes until they are completely in harmony. This would not work with digital metronomes.

    • @jussivalter
      @jussivalter Month ago +2

      @@TheVaporEyes The cans specifically cause the metronomes to NOT keep their original speed! And the velocity vector is constantly changing. And that's exactly why the metronomes synchronize.

      Weak coupling via the moving surface allows energy transfer and feedback, leading to an averaging of frequencies and ultimately causing synchronisation

    А меня этот эксперимент наталкивает на мысль о том, что люди также поддаются влиянию извне, особенно, если больше количество находящихся рядом. Мнение окружающих влияет на мнение и поведение отдельного индивидуума.
