Optimus fights for the Autobots and humanity. And he has been betrayed by humanity despite doing everything he could for them. I think Lockdown has the best combat skills in all the bayformer movies other than maybe Sentinel Prime. He literally kicked Optimus's butt and dispatched Bumblebee easily even though it was a sneak attack. He's a bit small compared to other transformers but quick and agile and just as strong. Also his face-gun allows him to take down enemies without really getting face to face. These qualities really suit an intergalactic robot bounty hunter.
Non-leader Autobots/Decepticons are *expected* to be dispatched easily by Optimus or anyone on his league. Megatron to Jazz, Optimus to Bonecrusher, Starscream, and Grindor, Sentinel to Ironhide, Lockdown to Bumblebee...
He sneak attacked him in every encounter. I doubt he would have much of a chance in a fair 1 vs 1. I do respect his character though, he was smart enough to plan and execute those attacks and tough enough to go toe to toe with him. I also like his design the most. He wasn't absurdly big or bulky like Megatron and Galvtron, he was small in comparison but looked like a tank. Great voice actor and they made his mannerisms seem almost human.

@@zeffez8161 This is an old comment, but Lockdown is a bounty hunter. He has expressed numerous times that he couldn't give two shits about the fighting between Autobots and Decepticons. He feels that he can never be betrayed by a "cause" because he never pledges any loyalty to them. His only real loyalty is to whoever offers him the most for services.
Optimus fights for the Autobots and humanity. And he has been betrayed by humanity despite doing everything he could for them. Lockdown is simply mocking that Optimus puts his faith in others, and that he's weak for doing so out of loyalty.
Shame they killed Lockdown off.
In the first movie, while the Megatron resurrected 3 times...

I think Lockdown has the best combat skills in all the bayformer movies other than maybe Sentinel Prime. He literally kicked Optimus's butt and dispatched Bumblebee easily even though it was a sneak attack. He's a bit small compared to other transformers but quick and agile and just as strong. Also his face-gun allows him to take down enemies without really getting face to face. These qualities really suit an intergalactic robot bounty hunter.
Non-leader Autobots/Decepticons are *expected* to be dispatched easily by Optimus or anyone on his league. Megatron to Jazz, Optimus to Bonecrusher, Starscream, and Grindor, Sentinel to Ironhide, Lockdown to Bumblebee...

He sneak attacked him in every encounter. I doubt he would have much of a chance in a fair 1 vs 1. I do respect his character though, he was smart enough to plan and execute those attacks and tough enough to go toe to toe with him.
I also like his design the most. He wasn't absurdly big or bulky like Megatron and Galvtron, he was small in comparison but looked like a tank. Great voice actor and they made his mannerisms seem almost human.

I think it be a sick to make a movie following Lockdown as a bounty hunter, traveling the galaxy to different planets, catching these machines, and monsters
