Hey I got a question. So I followed the same format as you did for setting up the campaign journey. Was wondering If I typed in the Tags, it would be the same as how you had the tags already saved? I'm assuming it's because you've already collected those SALES and FREE DOWNLOAD tags already. Thanks for the vid.
Great video! but won't it look spammy or repetitive to always cicle the same emails weekly? thank you for helping the community btw. Also, when you unsubscribe someone from your email list do you still keep it as a contact? because you'll end up paying for contacts you're not even sending emails to... or do mailchimp not count them as contacts so you dont pay for them?
I believe the contacts only count for the people that are subscribed, I haven’t ran into that yet because my email list is only like 1K right now but once I figure that out I will let you know
And you can always change your weekly emails once it’s running so i definitely would switch it up. A good strategy is to nurture the customer just by asking questions about their music journey and then put them into a sales campaign once you’ve kind of teased it. Something like “I’ve got something special coming your way”. Some of that sounds corny but you’ve gotta make sure your emails are easy to understand because of all your customers from overseas.
what plan are you using standard or essential?
Is there a way to set up the email so that it specifically mentions the beat that they downloaded or bought?
Why do I only have free download and sales tags? Does this still work without it? I have 11k contacts too lol so mailchimp is like 300 a month with the if/else enabled
To get your landing page tag you need to set it up in beatstars studio. Should’ve clarified this. If you go to edit the pro page. If I need to make a short on this I can. Also that’s amazing that you’ve gotten that many contacts, you should theoretically be able to set up 3 different campaigns for each tag, and therefore you wouldn’t have to make any of the if else conditions like that. Try that and let me know if it works.
Do i need to add all three tags in the same automation, or separate them into their own each automations?
You can do either, it may be cheaper to do them separately if you’re paying for more contacts
Does this setup send the emails to only new contacts? I have around 300 contacts and it would be a waste not to use them. Great video btw
No it sends them to old ones too if you make them repeat the journey at the end, just make sure you have if/else conditions set so you don’t send welcome emails to returning customers
What if I don't wanna use mailchimp or aweber? Can I do it?
You can do it with convertkit. There’s a lot more manual setup on the backend though. Way easier to do it with the platforms that are already integrated with beatstars

yo bro there are many things I don't get, like adding a second starting point, I don't have this option.. and for the tags in mailchimp, do I need to create them and mailchimp will do the link itself? Or should I wait to have emails so the tags create themselves and then I can use them ?
Mailchimp will create them automatically if you connect it to beatstars in beatstars studio. I’m not sure how to add the second starting point though. I’m pretty sure it was already there for me
i setup all the mailchimp journey and connected in the beatstars integration, but how does the addresses i get got automatically tagged in the right tag? also, how do i create a pop-up form on my beatstars pro page?
So they automatically get tagged if you go to integrations in beatstars studio and connect mail chimp. In the pro page section of studio there should be an option if you go into your settings and select that option. If I need to make a short of this let me know

You didnt actually explain when people purchase a beat, how do you link that purchase within the emai/automation?
So if you have your Mailchimp account connected to beatstars through the integrations tab in beatstars studio they will automatically tag all your customers based off of how you obtain their email
