As a Colts fan having Steichen as our HC is a great breath of fresh air after having Reich and Saturday. He is singlehandedly winning us games. Nearly every week he calls brilliant play design passing plays on 4th and short situations.
Agreed. He's created such a strong culture in the locker room. He's been a fantastic hire.

I’m so glad we got Shane at head coach. I can’t wait for another offseason and another draft for this team. A few more players and we could be a lot better next season. Especially with they quarterbacks in our division, hopefully lots of epic games to come.
Pittman is underrated af ik fantasy doesn't matter but he is pitting up 16 points a game and having 80 a game he just doesn't have a qb1 his entire career except rivera

Moss is legit. Not quite JT level. Problem is that he’s a free agent this year, and I’m sure some other team will be willing to pay him more than we will. I’d love have to have AR, JT, and Moss in the backfield (even at the same time), but I’m not sure that’s possible. Moss deserves a decent contract now.
I wish we could keep Moss. JT speed & Moss power is a good combo.
Gardner Minshews a top 15 qb. I have always been a fan of him and wish he got a chance to lead a capable roster

@@maliksalem1207 he's a quality backup; and he's playing like a quality backup. i like him, don't get me wrong, and i'm happy to see him get the playing time - and will be just as happy if he gets a solid starting job somewhere eventually - but i try to remain realistic.

We are going to benefit from a weak schedule. Burrow going out helps us. Houston could be an issue and maybe the Steelers but we could finish the season with a pretty good record.
If they go .500 over the next 6 games, that put the Coits at 9-8, a huge improvement over last year. Maybe they can get an upset win here or there and finish 10-7? That would be boss. At first, I was hoping they would suck to get Marvin Harrison Jr. But I think if irsay wants Harrison Jr., he'll find a way to make that happen.
Harrison Jr aint happening, need to accept that. The team is too good to have a top 5 draft pick and I'd rather not trade up, especially when there is other WRs in the first round.
They already have a really big upset win. That Ravens win was a really good, upset win. I think they're post-season bound.
This Zach Moss nonsense must stop. Taylor has breakaway speed and a top 5 back in the league. We did it for Richardson.

@@tactful_colt8536 before JT was healthy, Moss was statistically top 5 running back in the nfl right next to McCaffery. He's a solid running back. Taylor is done due to his thumb surgery and i don't think the colts running game is going to lose any steam without JT.
For someone who's watched every Colts snap... You're right, JT CAN be better, but he's apparently made of glass. Which is relevant. Moss is doing fine, but would bury JT in a power-run contest. I like them both, but don't dismiss Moss.

Love how the 2023 Colts have enough talent to play with anyone. But they literally play up or down to the level of each opponent. Every game this year (excluding @ Jacksonville and Houston) was a one possession game in the 4th quarter. Up 17-3 on the Bucs and minshew throws a ridiculous pick deep in colts territory to get tampa back in the game as a recent example haha

It is so annoying to hear people say anything along the lines of “idk if they should’ve paid JT”. It’s a flat out lazy and thoughtless thing to say. Yes running backs haven’t been getting paid because either:
1) the team doesn’t have cap space (probably because of a highly paid QB)
2) the player’s skill/production doesn’t match what they’re seeking
3) the team still sucks even with said RB
Literally none of those apply to us or JT. We are constantly one of the teams with the most cap space every offseason since Ballard took over and now have a rookie QB contract, the 2years JT has been productive we’ve been at the very least a good team fighting for the playoffs and it’s been because he’s the engine to the offense. There is NO REASON for our specific team to not pay our best player what he’s earned just because that’s what the current trend is 🙄 smh
Lets also mention the fact that we are playing with our 3rd and 4th best defensive backs and just gave away one of our franchise cornerstones in Shaq Leonard. I get that the schedule is easy which is why I pump the breaks on this team but it is impressive how far we've come.
It’s crazy how we put it together with a passing secondary that’s honestly pretty garbage. If we can get some stud DB/CB’s in our early round picks next year’s draft and let guys like Juju develop we can hopefully go somewhere special as a more complete team

colts have talent, 80% of the nfl do not have a Pitt. infact only a handful of teams have that number 1 guy. not alot of Jefferson's floating around or a Mike Evans. I think Pitt is a number 1 on most of the nfls teams. if colts had a qb that could actually sling it, these guys would be getting big numbers. gota look at Gardners average air yards. it's low. he hardly ever throws it 25 yards. maybe 20 like 2 times a game. if that. Guys get open down field consistently.

Well its going to hurt not having JT for the next 3 games (at least). At 6-5 I'm pulled back in because even hitting the 7th spot with little chance to go deep would be cool. If the Colts finish 9-8 I'll be happy. The pass rush is in good shape. I see 30+ sacks coming from the top 4 sackers (combined) this year. Josh Downs was a good pick.. Will Mallory is getting into it. Zaire Franklin has been amazing. Blackmon is having a good year. Kenny Moore and Michael Pittman making their case for contracts. Injuries suck such as Anthony Richardson (out for the year) and Julius Brents (perhaps returning soon).

Steichen should be getting heavy consideration for COTY. This is almost entirely the same roster from last year’s dumpster fire. I’d say the only real upgrade was Josh Downs. And Technically Gardner although he’s still not a starting caliber QB.

Not to take away from Steichen, cause he is a hell of a coach, but everyone forgets that the Colt lost 8 games last season by 7 pts or less. If Matt Ryan didn't turn the ball over so much, the Colts could have easily went 12-4. I see the Colts punching out the rest of the season and finishing up 11-6 and surprise everyone in the playoffs.
The next 2 games are going to tell us a lot about the Colts. The Bengals surprised a lot of people on Monday night, but Jake Brown was a beast in college, but developed slow to the NFL speed. So against them we need to continue with sacks with rushing only 4 roughly 99% of the time, as well as keeping Mixon in check, and our secondary needs to step up in this game.
Against the Steelers, Gardner needs to take better care of the ball and not force passes, keep the call tucked when attempting to run out of the pocket from pressure when the pocket starts to collapse. Our defense should be able to handle the Steeler's offense and keep them under 250-275 yards in total offense, if we can stop the run game.

The Colts are a borderline playoff team that has played a weak schedule, and gotten some breaks. Minshew is a very good backup. However, if AR wasn't on the roster the Colts #1 need would be a franchise QB.

I said week 2 of pre season when AR was confirmed the starter that minshew should start and if AR starts he would make it to game 6 without a career ending injury. If anthony is a better starter then why isn't he starting. Because he isn't super safe and WILL lose the game for you BY NOT STAYING IN THE POCKET AND RUNING OVER DEFENDERS If you can't play you can't win.
