I get to lie in bed and casually watch (with the ability to pause and cue) one of the most amazing and well spoken chess minds one could ever imagine. It's truly fascinating to see the speed at which he not only processes the game strategically, but emotionally. His gut sense of a position happens as fast as the calculation of a forced move series. He is light speed in narrating the story of the game to himself. In an instant he feels, "it's time to attack", or "this should be winning". Neither of these can be the result of a direct calculation. He sees the story of the game in real time, and he narrates bits of it to us. It's truly a remarkable thing.
What an amazing match between this two monsters. Danya is fantastic, an incredible chess player, and most of all a very good and gentle person. What are his origins? He can sometimes speak American with a russian accent, voluntarily of course; is he maybe of russian origins?
I am curious Daniel, Why is your classic rating around 2640? Is it because the covid situation that you stood still, or you do not have a desire to try and hit the 2800?
I think one of the reasons we all like to watch bullet chess is because it’s only of the only forums where grandmasters make mistakes which inflates our own paltry egos just a little bit Fantastic playing it’s brilliant to watch
As a beginner you should avoid bullet. It won't really improve your chess. A month ago I was at 800 rapid. I also played a lot of bullet and Blitz but I was trash. Then I completely stopped playing the faster time formats. Only focusing on puzzles, rapid and daily games. Now I'm rated 1100 in rapid. And nearly 1500 in puzzles. I think you have to get to a certain level at chess before you consider the faster time formats. At least that's what works for me.
I'd suggest just playing 10 minute rapid games until you hit at least 1500. Bullet and even Blitz sometimes without increment just ends with someone flagging and won't help you gain anything
Definitely...I see how it can seem disingenuous, but I'm honestly not trying to smooth over the losses :) Firouzja is in a completely different class/category from me as evidenced not only by our results but also by the fact that he's more than 100 points higher rated than me. And I'm positive that losses will make this way into the channel as well.
@@DanielNaroditskyGM you always come across as a genuine person so I wouldn't dig into this comment too much. Everyone knows Alireza is a better bullet player (there's a reason he just won the recent tournament) but as a fan of yours I enjoy these videos which show that not only you're one of the best bullet players right now, that you can also hang around with Alireza and win some of your matches
It's his channel, he can upload whatever he wants! We should all just be grateful Danya uploads anything, being the great player and teacher that he is!

Full credit to Danya he is one of the strongest and my favorite GMs. But Danya only uploads the matches he wins like Hikaru. He won maybe 2 from 10 matches and uploads only his wins but its okay.
Danya "literally doesn't even care" that he's playing gm firouzja, very calm. Thanks for uploading this match I'm gonna enjoy this tonight!!!
I see what you did there. The chat and Chessbrah approve.
chat he literally doesn't care literally chat
If youtube was not invented, I would have never believed that 30 secs chess is even possible ..and this guy is an absolute pro of ultra bullet.
Say what you wanna about Daniel, but he's definitely one of the chess players.
Yup, the other one is Alireza. Good observation :)
Didn't notice that. Good eye!
Games are too fast for me to tell
No shit 😂
7:45 shows how skillful he is
That's insane, loved watching that
they are known as super GMs for a reason :)
0:00 - 1:54:00 shows how skillful he is
The drink after the mate is so smug, in a good way
I didn't know chess grand masters are skillful at chess.
"I should have played a little faster" ~~ GM Daniel in bullet games
That statement would only have been noteworthy if it had stated the opposite.
I'm finally fast enough to at least keep track of what is happening on screen. You are so fast, Danya!
Good for you

Watching this at 2x speed while high is incredibly entertaining
I just tried it, minus the high part, and felt like I was in the middle of a video game. Especially with the music
You are indeed correct. 0.75% is also somewhat entertaining.
The guys played more games this video than me entire month
If I had 1 year and those guys had 30 sec against me, I would still be checkmated in 10 moves.
Come on you cant be that dumb

What if its queen odds
I don't think so, you can make a move and wait untill they go to bed, and make the 2nd move!
A speedrun to 3000 would take about 2 hours
the average gm fedora firouza vs the Chad gm prophet daniel
nice job adding the background music!

it's not a Danya video without a Oh My Lands (TM)
Its so amazing how can danya can take an absolute lost game into a win in 5 seconds. No ones better at flipping a loss into a win.
Thank to his opponent blundering for example? Have you ever thought about that?
Man that was so fast Danya! What a great win, wow! You looked really shattered at the end, unsurprisingly! Brilliant stuff! 👏🏻👏🏻
yo danya's music is fire, nothing better than vibing with some chess
That insane galactic-brain move at 35:35 in NUTS. Even with 5sec to spare I would've just stared at my screen. Nice job, Danya.

you don't understand what's happening on the screen.
You gotta be good enough to watch these and enjoy.

Danya, have you ever beaten Magnus in a long play bullet match? What's your guys score like?
They’re like 500-300ish on lichess (in magnus’ favor)
Alireza has, not Danya.. Magnus has adopted both of them before though lol
I prefer watching high level blitz over bullet. As a 1400 I can barely follow whats going on when its this fast

Hey Daniel, i'm kinda new to chess and whenever i play bullet/blitz it very negatively impacts my rapid/classical playing, any tips?

Don't play blitz or (especially) bullet at all if you want to improve.
In my experience people with rating below 2100 struggle to even finish the game without running out of time. So better not play
I'd suggest just playing 10 minute rapid games until you hit at least 1500. Bullet and even Blitz sometimes without increment just ends with someone flagging and won't help you gain anything
I dont understand the essence of chess in hyperbullet, hyper bullet is like practicing how to blunder but these guys super gms are exception.
i fucking love this shit so much
