Nothing clean about it. Clear a bunch of land, mine a bunch of materials, panels that are less than 10% recyclable, etc. etc.

Right. Remember when these kooks were up in arms about “urban sprawl”? Not too worried about “green-E sprawl” now. All for 1 degree Celsius……globally.
Why do we let the mentally challenged run our lives?

@Hopping Rabbit uhm go read about how much land they're using for the new solar farm they're building in Minnesota. 😂

False, iron mining is less destructive than most types of mining.

    Definitely a great invention.

Worth a shot but why not start on a smaller scale to make it more efficient first.
Because Solar and Wind can not solve our energy problems, they are too intermittent. We need to stop acting like we are trying to solve this problem. Nuclear(Thorium) Energy is the only realistic option until we can store energy with minimal loss. And find a cleaner more effective way to store that energy as batteries contain very toxic(Hazardous waste, toxic to mined areas/people) materials.
Problem is there's more money to be made/profited off of with solar/wind.

The reason why is because you need a lot to make it efficient.

The point of this system is to make them less intermittent

Sure looks like they had to clear a lot of land for that. And I wonder what the land looks like at the mines for the materials it took to make those?
They just want you further distanced from your energy source.

Its iron, its everywhere and you don’t have to risk ground water to mine it.

It's not so much as the land but the ability to scale, store and stabilize energy harnesses from wind and sun. If you got your head out your backside for one moment to understand rather than be so quick off the bat to politicize or criticize, you may actually comprehend.
But wait, no, that would signify intelligence. 🤨🙄

@@boaz2578 it has a 20year lifespan with minimal maintenance... that's called scaling. .. exponential returns on free reproducible abundant energy.
It's real and within reach so move from your little echoe chamber and reach for some knowledge.

Nothing uglier than thousands of acres in solar panels of wind turbines
