    Steve, I have been watching you for quite some time and I have some of your courses. However, I just found this video. This is my favorite Elton John song and I have been struggling with figuring it out by myself. Your lesson is great! Thanks much!

    Beautiful song, and beautifully taught. Lots of room for fills/flourishes. I look forward to committing it to muscle memory so I can personalize it some. Thank you for sharing this version and for teaching it in such an upbeat, positive, and relatable way.

    Hey Steve - great lesson, but what strumming pattern were you using?

      Hi David. Strumming patterns can be very personal and they can be adapted to whatever works best for you. You don't have to play it strictly the same all the time. For this song the strumming pattern is D DU D DU - DU DU DU DU. Again it's not always the same but you can use this as a reference. Listen to how the lyrics go and each time there's a pause or rest in the lyrics you can make it busier or add more DU. Hope this helps and thanks for posting.
