if getting top 16 with Weather Painter wasn't enough to motivate me to build the deck, then seeing the Sesshomaru playmat has me sold. So based

Congrats! Weather painter is my favorite deck, sesshomaru is one of my favorite characters, and I’m also from Calgary! Weird coincidence lmao.
Good list, extremely validating for you to also not play Piri Reiss Map, that card is ass in weather painter and it bothers me that it baits so many people. WP is one of only decks where life points matter.

just seen this. Peri map is amazing because not only does it let you search snow, and ash, most players tech in yamatako for consistency to make psychic end punisher. and this lets you search for him.

Weather painter thunder can’t remove skill drain because it’s effect to remove it doesn’t come from banishing as cost. Skill drain kills its effect. 6:50

Its card text reads. You can send 1 face-up Continuous Spell/Trap you control to the GY; place 1 "The Weather" Spell/Trap from your Deck face-up in your Spell & Trap Zone. Anything before the Semi-colon is cost/ activation requirements.

Sending the skill drain is the cost, hence thunder resolves

Don’t know which yugi-tuber you’re parroting, but 2 ofs are completely acceptable. Decks that anticipate and plan for a grind game may want more than one copy as having multiple turns is part of the game plan, but do not want to brick on HOPT effects in hand. Obviously if you can recycle 2 card reliably that’s fine, but that assumes your opponent can’t banish it. Play test against different decks with 2 or certain cards, and find what works and what doesn’t.
