ouch. it was actually good to see this session. I've had them just like this and end up feeling bad about my play but obviously you hit some terrible luck.
First-time commenter: I enjoyed this. It's good to see someone playing at the stakes I find myself in. I feel for you. This year has been a major down swing for me at the tables. Getting it in good, and they seem to find it on the river. Good luck. I hope the pendulum swings in the right direction for both of us.
Tough session keep ur head up. This is my first time watching ur channel and it did a good job of representing what happens a lot in poker. Just keep getting it in good and ur win rate will go up.
We have all been there bro , except the K6 hand that you could have take it down by betting the turn and missed value on J10 hand , you played fine , got it in good every time and got unlucky on the river, thanks for the video , thanks for being honest and posting the loosing sessions, good luck to you
Good vlog, just an unlucky session. Your table seemed pretty weak, which makes it more frustrating knowing that you have to bide your time and get it in good….only to get sucked out on.
In that first hand on the 10 3 3 board I like the fold. The btn can have a lot of 3s defending his straddle. It’s hard to say no getting 3 to 1 though. Not knowing anything about the btn I think a fold is good.
Thanks, just a bad night of poker for you, been there a few times. Lol. Learned the hard way never try to bluff a drunk as they will call out anything as well always seem to suck out even when your ahead. Secondly I quit playing on full moon nights as all the crazy people come out then and usually a fight lol. Good luck my friend blow off tonight tomorrow may be a better time. Jay from Tennessee 😎
Seemed like you deviated from your plan of playing tight, not very abc poker. Just gotta learn to fold, but the JJ hand seemed unlucky besides that very fishy
Welcome to almost every session I've played locally the past year. I've scored a profit last 4 sessions at casino, but games here, I can't win. Table full of calling stations and they all just take turns getting it in bad and sucking out.
@bombmario5228 same thing I told Poker Pilot 🤣 I find it a little easier not going 5 or 6 ways into every flop at casino so I've been ditching home games and making an hour drive instead. Been much better experience.
4 color decks are better for vlogs if you ask me. Easier to identify cards. And yes monochrome is the correct terminology from a language and grammar perspective, however everyone in poker calls it monotone for some unknown reason lol
That first hand, I was thinking that the UTG player probably has something like JJ and didn't want to 3-bet. I see that a lot. Just flats and then ships it on a safe flop.
All poker players go through these times where you go in good and get burned on the river. The big mistakes many make is overextending themselves and getting into a big hole If money's getting tight go back and rebuild on the 1-2 tables. If not, keep plugging away!
I'd love to watch your video but the cheese 1980's keyboard background music is horrible. Silent or background noise from the room would be far better. Good luck iwtht the content.
@verbalmint thx for sharing your downswing. I am down $14K in the past two weeks, and about $25K in the past year. I win my fair share of small and medium stakes tournaments, have dragged a few monster cash pots. Recently everything just falls for my opponents. It’s hard not to think I just suck at poker. But this past weekend I played a day one next to a main event winner and held my own, so who the f**k knows?
You had some bad luck, but you were also in some hands you shouldn’t have been in. Like 96 suited especially in a loose game where you could easily get 3-bet and have to fold. It happened several times to you. It all adds up on the negative side.
that k10 hand is tough but i would have shoved to get a side pot going.. this is something you shouldnt do without information but since we know that woman is absolute trash and calls almost 200bb in with AQ pre we know we are miles ahead of her shoving range on this flop.. Now take into consideration what the guy calling her is thinking.. hes thinking that shes light because shes trash and on tilt.. in this situation you are mostly good against both players so going all in and getting a side pot would hedge your bet just incase she has a 3.. anyways this would be a good fold with k10 if that lady wasnt absolute garbage.. not going to lie to you very few people would have picked up on the table dynamic based off of one hand and shoved for a side pot in that situation so there is no shame in folding there.. Im just a bum hunter, i only like to play fish because the game is boring to me other wise. To me its more fun knowing you are ahead of someones range than basically fighting over blinds and position and guessing someone's range down to a single card. Also you certainly dont have to shove but imo given the dynamic and that fact there is a flush draw on board you could get called by worse and or deny that guys equity by getting him to fold. Again going all in or even calling in this spot would be pretty bad if you didnt have any information at all. I personally think when someone apes almost 200bb pre by calling a shove with AQo you should be branding them as a gambler that over plays marginal hands.. they simply dont understand the game and you should never play scared against them because you know there range is wide when they go for value.. One of the most important things to know is that you are better than the opponent you think is trash and just because they have the top of their range in a hand you lost against them doesnt mean they arnt trash.. Just be confident and only worry about their ranges, dont worry about the results.

When you're in a game where players are jamming 3-4 times pot, you should just wait and call with more nutted hands.
