Definitely the most extensive collection I've ever seen.I like to look at other's collections and get to see new or different figures and their backstory, really enjoyed this and Thanks for uploading this.
Thanks Michael. I've added a bit more to it since then...also subtracted some stuff (space in my apartment has started becoming a pressing issue). Thinking of doing an update at some point...
All I had until recently was trendmasters. They are what I had growing up. The 4 unch ones I thought were a good middle ground for play or for for displaying.
Love your collection! I'm also a Godzilla collector I've been watching Godzilla movies since I was a kid in the 80's. I'm so obsessive over collecting Godzilla figures I have 10+ multiples of a lot of my figures and sets. I own 20 sets each of all the 2019 King of the Monsters playsets from Jakks Pacific and have at least 7 of each of the Kong vs Godzilla playmates figures..Warbat, 6" mechagodzilla ect....I don't know why I buy multiples I just like having a lot of each figure
thanks so much for your kind words and more importantly, your continued interest in my reviews! Definitely putting up a new one (very) soon. This is encouraging and motivating to hear as a reviewer. Thanks again!
Will you make an updated version anytime soon? Also, what advice would you give to someone who is late to collecting X-Plus’s? Would you recommend sticking to new releases only and only getting aftermarket priced ones if the Kaiju is special to me?
Unfortunately I won't be making an updated video for quite some time... I'm starting a new business venture and just have no time to pursue my collecting. As for the second l advice: if you have lots of disposable income to "catch up" then do as you like... HOWEVER if you have limited income or need to be judicious in your purchases my advice is this (I'm in the US so I speak from the assumption you are also, if only because the following advice is mainly for an American): focus for now on newer releases that you can buy directly from Japan. The reason you want to do this is so you can take advantage of the great exchange rate in favor of the US dollar. Check the exchange rate when you read this...by comparison, when the 30cm Anguirus came out in 2009 (when I first got in to x-plus) the exchange rate was 92 yen for $1. If you are dead set on hunting down older releases but have limited funds, wait until next year (2023). Unfortunately many are forecasting a recession in 2023 and after 33 years of collecting, I am sorry to say that Godzilla collectors in general do not do well in recessions and have to sell off their figures. This is then your opportunity to find an old figure for a decent/great price. Check Facebook groups for collectors needing to sell x-plus. That's your ticket in to older figures, but wait until maybe summer of 2023. For now, focus on newer stuff that you can order direct from Japan. If you use a domestic retailer they will not pass on the exchange rate benefit, so that is why you want to order direct from Japan. Hobby search, ami ami, etc. Good luck
Yup. The gold pilot ace ghidorah and one of the gigabrain 64s from toy tokyo (their original location, not the current one) and the bandai big scale from zakka
