Holly Gennero McClane: "After all your posturing, all your little speeches, you're nothing but a common thief." Hans Gruber: "I am an exceptional thief, Mrs. McClane."
I love that all the super friend vehicles can travel through time and other dimensions, lol. Though the aqua scooter needed help from Grodds time conveyor.
Toward the end of the episode after the Super Friends captured the Legion @18:38 it appears that Black Vulcan founds some pants for his costume Good for him!!!
Black Vulcan and Hawkman can survive in the vacuum of space and despite the lack of air, can still breathe and make themselves heard to each other. And only Wonder Woman needs a helmet.
So, The Flash freed the other Super Friends but left the other "statues" behind. Reminds me of the original ending to "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" where Santa did not return to the Island of Misfit Toys like the gang promised. The show's creators had to go back and add a scene where the toys are collected and given homes.
Besides the somewhat loose science concerning black holes, There is the bit about Rigel having a planet which is not only habitable but inhabited by advanced inhabitant. As a blue giant, Rigel burns not only hot, but fast. It is estimated to being only 7-9 million years old, and has already left the main sequence part of its life cycle. This isn't a whole lot of time to form a planet with life, let alone a civilization. Be that as it may, such a planet would need to be considerable distance from Rigel to be in the "Goldilocks zone", giving it a year in the range of 1400 Earth years.
How ironic . Your point about the LOD having more money than they could possibly ever need. Why would they need more is never more prescient than today. Today we actually have people who build their own satellite in Orion's belt. Scary stuff.
Super Irv, you know your questions are too logical. Also at that time they had a group with government help put a severe crackdown on violence. So no chance of Comic book action at all. But with all they had restricting them, Hanna - Barbara somehow managed to deliver a show worth watching. (If you did not ask too many questions.)
The thing about money is that it has a somewhat loose definition. I have an MBA, and to get one of those, I had to take as much economics as an economics major. There is money as in physical currency, like bills and coins. That's why the Legion of Doom seemed to be collecting. However, I don't think many governments keep their entire treasury in that form. Nor do people or businesses. They have bank accounts. When you start realizing money also means things like numbers in checking accounts and the like, the Legion was probably not even getting a penny on the dollar of the net worth of those countries. Some people become billionaires because money is the only way to settle up the value they bring. Taylor Swift doesn't need the money, but she keeps creating music and going on tours. J.K. Rowling lost her billionaire status because she gave away a lot of what she earned. She keeps writing books and licensing her intellectual property for games and to theme parks, because the people who license it use it to make money of their own. The Legion of Doom seem to be a bunch of crackpots with bruised egos. This Lex Luther seems to be the scientific genius who blames Superman for the loss of his hair. If he invented a cheap, low power matter rearranger (like a Star Trek replicator), instead of solving scarcity problems and dramatically improving the world as a result, he'd use it to make Kryptonite to "get even" with Supes. I am in a position where I realized I have more than enough money to live the rest of my life. I retired, and gained time and freedom. I'm not a billionaire, but I'm also not in a mindset where I think I have to compete on the basis of net worth. I'm worried about my own life, not the dollars in somebody else's bank account.
I'm not exactly in that position, but my wife loves her job and she makes incredible money. I'm retired but my SS isn't very much because I was a stay-home parent for most of my working years. I use that and this to supplement my wife's income and upgrade the studio and equipment. What is money as a concept? It's a medium of exchange. It's worthless unless you're trading it for something more tangible. As long as everybody agrees to the system, we could just as easily use rocks or leaves. How many maple leaves for a pair of shoes? Willow leaves are worth less because they're smaller. Anything that people agree upon will do. I feel that those who bind up their self-worth in money and things are missing the real joy of life. "I guess it's true, we don't have a pot" but my wife and I enjoy our life. We get to do the things we want to do and we have solid relationships with our kids. The fact is, I have one of the most loving families I ever saw. That's good enough for me.
@@dwashbur Penguins have used pebbles as money, trading them for fish or sex. On Yap, they use stone discs as money. Historically, gold has been popular. The form varies, but it has to be a mutually agreed upon form of exchange. If you're living the life you want, you've been playing the game correctly. If you have the life you want, that's fantastic. I'm enjoying the life I have. I can't quite fault people chasing more and more wealth if that's the life they want. It may not be what I'd choose to do, but if it makes them satisfied, then who am I to judge?

The 🌎 is gone and so are Hawkman's wings at 1:20😂
I like the fact that Wonder Woman just needs a bowl on her head to breathe and not even having an oxygen tank or anything.
Trapped in a pinball machine... Inch High Private Eye did that 5 years earlier.

You are right! The Legion of Doom are wealthy! It's greed that makes them want to continue their capers!

0:31 Flawless computerized mind, huh? This dude would be rolling in dough if the invention and development of ChatGPT was entrusted to him.
Flawless enough he never beat the Super friends solo or with the Legion .
FRELL ME DEAD! A Farscape reference? IRVING, I LOVE YOU!
I'm a huge Farscape fan.

16:37 I'd wager it's something between that and Dragon Ball Z.
Brainiac and Toyman think they have the perfect plan and Riddler has no brains whatsoever

They couldn't do that on that planet because---Reasons?

You too!

That was "The Secret Origins of The Superfriends."
