    As a kid growing up in Ireland, John Elway is the reason I fell in love with American Football and the Denver Broncos in particular. He has to be one of the greatest QB's of all time. Go Broncos :)

    Elway made watching football and especially the Broncos fun!!! I grew up in Denver during the 60's and 70's where Denver was a sub par team, maybe average at best, then came John! Be SAFE, GOD BLESS!!!

    Of all the Quarterbacks I've ever seen, John Elway will always be the all around best. One in a billion! 🇺🇸

      That era was unbelievable for quarterbacks eating leading into it. Just think about the generation before you had guys like Staubach and Bradshaw and then you rolled right into Montana and Elway and Marino there was some really good quarterbacks in those areas. Tom Brady still the best that ever was though.

      @@ronaldtartaglia4459 Just made me think about it. I am not sure who all was in the class of 83. Elway, Marino, Kosar (84), Jim Kelly, (St, Louis Cards ...thinking...Todd Blackledge, Tony Eason, Ken OBrian...Then there was Montana, Staubach, Jeff George, Jim Plunkett...Man it was loaded

    There have been many good quarterbacks and a few great ones. Some of us think that Elway was the greatest of the great ones. That has been and will be debated for some time I imagine but there is one thing that is undisputable. Elway was by far the most entertaining and fun to watch! Thanks John...

    Weird to see Shula saying Elway had the strongest arm in the game when Shula had Dan Marino. I guess Marino had a laser quick release while Elway had the longer distance.

    • @ReinhardVonSiegfried
      @ReinhardVonSiegfried 3 года назад

      Yes, Marino had a quicker release and was probably a little more accurate, but Elway had the stronger arm and, unlike Marino, he could scramble out of the pocket and even run downfield with the ball if there was no one open.

    • @r.williamcomm7693
      @r.williamcomm7693 3 года назад

      ReinhardVonSiegfried Yes Elway had the wheels & could hit a receiver just about everywhere on the field.

    • @Yeomannn
      @Yeomannn Год назад

      Both had comparable velocity but Elway had Marino beat on distance. Marino has gone on record saying the farthest he could throw it was 70 yards whereas Elway once claimed 83. With that said though Reinhard is correct about the accuracy. Marino was definitely more accurate with the quicker release. Marino was a pure passer like Jurgensen and Namath. John was a gunslinger like Bradshaw.

    Still the best QB I ever seen. You put him in the same situation as Tom Brady was in NE for the last 20 years, he wins more Super Bowl’s than Tom Brady because he’s as smart as Brady, as competitive, and what Brady doesn’t have is the God given superior physical ability. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do as a QB.

      OrangeCrushGang or we can discuss what’s been happening lately, instead of living in the past. We all have “ old glory days”, except for the chargers lol. I do expect the broncos to finish better than the raiders this year and maybe the chargers, but the chiefs will take the division yet again. 4 in a row and we’re bringing the Lamar hunt trophy home, along with the Lombardi.
