This was a very well prepared report on this little taylor. Thank you very much sir!
I've reserved one, waiting for it is very hard.

I was lucky to get one. Played it against other taylors/ Martins etc. oh boy you were spot on with your review. only downside it dings easy. but, it sounds amazing. Its my go to guitar now. when I started playing, I heard the quote: the best guitar, is the one you play. and I got mine at the wall, I grab it so often and I never miss anything. already gigged with it I start to sell every other guitar I own. Its better than my martin gpca4 which I already sold, plays on par with my 314ce taylor and was ofcourse better than my fender dreadnought.
But the main thing, torrification really works. I played it against every other gs mini and its a huge difference. in Germany 400 € more than a sapele, is it worth it? in my opinion yes. because there are just 1974 the built quality is better, the inlays are beautiful, the ebony bridgepins work fine, you wont get any gold tuners from taylor aftermarket and the torrified top opens up the sound. If you buy any other GS mini you will lose way more money. the 50th will be more stable in years to come.

Question… is there a detent on all 3 electronics knobs or just 2? Mine center clicks on just 2 of them

I was going to buy one, but I wish they had made the burst edges a bit more dark. When I saw it in person, the guitar tends to look purple, which turned me off when deciding.
Decided to go with the Koa Plus instead.

Tone wise does this differ from the gs mini rosewood plus select at all? I’m stuck between that one and the 50th anniversary rosewood

In my opinion it does. the torrified top (I gues at the gs mini 90% of the sound comes from the top) just opens up the gs mini even more. and with only 1974 you will always have a better resell value.
