It's 3:30am here, I can't sleep so I'm watching a really nice video about some really nice power tools. Thanks Keith!

    Hi Keith
I have followed your posts for over 12 months now and enjoy them very much, I have just down loaded a Proxxon Catalogue
from the NZ Importer and the range of products is incredible .
    Keep producing your great posts.

Keith, I recommend the on/off foot switch for the NG5. It sits between mains and NG5. Great when working on small pieces

Gosh I'm glad I found this. I had a Proxxon rotary tool some years ago. After a good long life it finally died and I replaced it with a really cheap version which initially was good. Later the chuck got really loose and I found it impossible to get different sized collets. The one it came with is almost exactly the wrong size for almost everything.
In the interim I'd forgotten the Proxxon name but I could vaguely remember that you had some so I searched through your back catalog until I found this video. Thanks for making it! A new Proxxon rotary tool is on order.

does the ibs/e model also have the plastic insert between the motor and the shaft like the 240? that to me is a very poor design. Can't find real pictures. The 50e model and the slimmer ones seem to be only metal shaft which is a better design

Cool tool but my 30+ year old Dremel is still working. I'm glad I got the 120V model and not battery. I bought brushes for it about 20 years ago and they're still in the package. Someday...

Hi Keith great review I’m looking at getting proxxon tools but stuck between the 60e and the 60 Ef (I believe the only difference is the ef is chuckless) also considering the larger fbs 12e - I’m a model maker and scale hobby terrain builder - do you recommend I get all three? Help much appreciated

I really like Proxxon tools, but they are so expensive to acquire in the US

why do you have to tun off the power before you plug something in here in the usa we dont have that and its fine to plug and unplug things

It's a health and safety thing.... When USA plugs where standardized in the 1920 health and safety was not a concern.
