I really felt that, dude... Being a cool and chill teammate can help so much more than being the "why are we playing X or Y?"... People tend to forget that it is a game... games were supposed to be fun... If some people try to roast me or my team when there is not a clear reason for that (cuz we all know that somedays are not our days lol), I send a personal message trying to remember them that IT IS STILL JUST A GAME... usually the response is "sorry, I was having a bad day"
I'm sorry you have to go through that, I get you, I encounter toxic players frequently and it's not enjoyable. Maybe someday in the future overwatch will do something about it (I highly doubt it). The only thing I can say to you right now is to take some time for yourself, to rest from the toxicity so it doesn't get to you and keep going with the hope that you will encounter a non-toxic lobby for a match.
Tbh this is the new ow player base - ppl who come from other games that have a worse community so they’re just as negative and can never see themselves as the issue - and a broken ass ranked system but tbh most rank systems work in the way of they give you a few free wins and then they give you bad teammates on purpose so your doomed to lose and if anything they want you to lose so you feel like oh shit Imma keep playing till I get that win that dopamine hit from winning - that’s why I play quick play with friends at this point it’s so much more enjoyable than playing comp to get blamed that I “didn’t heal enough” while I’m at like 12k heals and our other support is at 6k - and at least in quick play I can fuck around for fun and I don’t have to worry about it but yeah now that overwatch isn’t 6v6 anymore games feel so much less rewarding and they go so much quicker cuz they had to make it quicker for the lil kids that have no attention spans. It’s so sad, I played the beta for ow1 and fell in love with it because it was so much fun now it’s depressing - you can tell everyone who loved overwatch left the overwatch team and now the game feels awful to play… like you can tell when developers put LOVE into a game like Witcher or even rainbow six siege (crazy to say I know) but you can tell the developers who made those games loved those games and the ideas of them and put so much work and effort to see it succeed, and that USED to be ow1 till a few years later and it stopped, they didn’t care anymore, and they are now just chasing the dollar signs of what used to be an amazing game that USED to be FUN. Sorry for the long rant but had to say it since the newbies don’t get it. but overwatch used to be an awesome game and honestly now I recommend people go watch old videos of overwatch 1 instead of playing ow2 so they can see how much fun it actually used to be since some people now don’t think it was ever fun to begin with but it truly was.
Frfr the dead by daylight has the same problem! It was fun years ago then everyone and they mom was complaining and being toxic and the original fan base just left the game!
Here's the thing Bugzie, you don't need communication to win games. Just try to focus on your development. We can't expect people to be better over the internet.
Yeah This is Very true the only reson i started to use comms is because alot of my games use to end up with everyone upset after 1 team fight loss so when i would be postive and talk about our plan for next team fight people would tilt less, this guy just annoyed me because this was winnable but he had to start attacking people instead of just muting and as you said focus on his own development.
hey man put the people on blast that instantly start throwing. put them in the vid and just make fun of them. only cowards throw games. its like if you or your team sucks keep playing. you may be handy capping yourself but that way you can just get better because your in a harder situation.
You still won more games then you lost,,, i lost 12 games in a row and only won 3 games yesterday and today's i lost 7 games and only won 1 game today,, and worse of all im stuck on silver rank ever sinse ov2 was released and never ever got gold rank ever,,,, soo i got it worse
Damn, That sucks. in season 3 the same shit happened to me (before i did ow vids) I fell from GM 4 to Diamond 3, i would hit 20 losses before i Won 7 games it was so annoying and the fact that we could not check our win loss progress made it worse I would go a massive win streak just to find out i already lost like 20 games and de rank 3 times. (tip to win more Watch karq his guides helped me alot, also one trick you best hero i found my self swaping alot for my team but them not knowing how to play with me, so just locked Lucio and just ran the lobby this worked till masters where i needed to swap to help again. but if your confedent you have the skill to make it out one tricking is not bad as long as you still learn other heros for when you do make it out :) ) GL luck in your games
Although I have attempted other heroes But this season I already am 1 tricking with my main orisa no less, and I also do watch karq and samito and flats, and still can't get wins I even tried doing what they said to increase my odds of victory and still can't win, I'm running out of ideas and options ,I tried to get good teammates but that didn't go well, ov2 is the hardest multiplayer I ever played to get a single win,,,, heck I find apex easier to win then this game and I get toxic players a lot too and 1 of them said to ,,,,cough kill myself cough
