@@GospelMusiciansI have a question bro what is the entry level salary for a pianist/organist? I’m going through a period where I feel that I’m under paid and actually took on two new positions for a 9am and 11am Sunday morning services both paying $225 because my former church was only paying me $165 so I just wanna know in your perspective what is entry level pay

The only part I disagree with is that tithe is an old testament practice. Tithe predates the law of Moses. Abraham was the first person to tithe. I pay tithe because I identify with that covenant that God had with Abraham. I'm open to more clarification.
PS: I agree that musicians should be paid.

Tithe is not just an old testament principle.
      If Malachi 3:8 is true,
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? IN TITHES AND OFFERING
Why would tithe be left to the law but the offerings are accommodated...
People of the new testament church need to tithe...

I have always mentioned this that if leader/pastor takes wages from the church and deny that of the musician then, it’s either they ignorant, selfish or hypocrites. Because we all serve God behind the pulpit. You’re blessed and spiritual

Hi, my name is Paul, I’m a pastor of young church in Tel Aviv, Israel. We started this church on March 15 2024.
And the situation is this, I want to pay to our leaders and the core part of the worship team, and I’m trying to raise some funds for it. But all that I was able to do, is to find the money to pay 2 people on our team their small part time salary. Administrator and associate pastor.
As for myself, I’m not getting paid from our church, I work in another organisation to make some money.
We are one of the biggest and fastest growing churches in our city, but Tel Aviv is one of the most expensive cities in the world. Also churches in Israel are small, so this “big church” is only about 150-160 people. So our giving can cover only basic expenses of the church.
So what should I do, if I want to pay them, but can’t?
And what I can expect of their time if it’s impossible for us to pay them?

Agree with you on Musicians! Both Testaments have scriptures. Now far as the tithe, just like you pointed out Scripturs in both Testaments for musicians, Tithing is also in both Testaments brother ⬇️
Luke 11:42 kjv- But woe unto you, Pharisees! for (ye tithe) mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Luke 11:42 TLB- But woe to you Pharisees! For though you are careful to tithe even the smallest part of your income, you completely forget about justice and the love of God. You should tithe, (yes), but you should not leave these other things undone.
Leviticus 27:30 Niv- A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord. (Not just money)
    Malachi 3:8-12 (also about tithes)
The King never told us to discontinue the tithe, and there is not one scripture that says not to tithe.
Because it is written to continue tithing without neglecting the love of God or justice, we should be. The tithe helps Kingdom economics, such as funding a variety of needs in the body of Christ. But the tithe is not being distributed correctly, or handled correctly or teached correctly. How can musicians or singers or pastors live off anything if no one understands (Luke 11:42) & (Leviticus 27:30), (Malachi 3:8-12). Both Testaments.
Blessings to you, and peace be unto you Shalom my brother 🙏🔥 🔥🔥

This a tochy issue but I believe person in the ministry should at least receive a stipend. I have a full time job however, the funds would be put to good use if I get the funds, that is it would go for family and ministry. The church is also of the view that I am a member and should not receive anything. While various other members in the church musician and otherwise receive pay or stipend for whatever they do. However, pretty much in a heartbeat they are quite willing to give me a loan...

Bro this is not about old and new testament is about the idea God had for his people so that things can work in order, new and old testament are to be studied as what God wanted for his chosen children but no people just ignore and just say is the old testament is not for us ignoring that you can't denie it was the idea that God wanted for his people for the best because God don't speak for nothing he has the best reason for us, maybe if we listen to him more we wouldn't be in so much problems in this era, I agree with you brother I even said this to mi pastor but they ignore mi but I'll trust God but for real I have to be 5 days in church practice 2 days and maybe after church sometime so that everything is set plus practice at home 600 songs 3 to 4 hrs like people don't know all the work people have to go thru and that is why I believe in old testament because it make sense, people just hear how nice but not the hard work it may be a gift but it's a working gift that I am grateful for but justice need to be applied on this rich churches that not even look on how are you in life struggling because you don't want to be ungrateful you now how many time I haven't even eaten to be responsible and practice and it feels it's like it doesn't even matter man have to work get out of work to practice for service is hard man .

Its NOT that the _____ dont want to grace their instrumentalist and vocalist with a fitting finance.. but their statement is that the numbers that is fitting; is too much and or
the congregation is small and or
that we have less people today so unfortunately their wont be any give outs for today service.
    Question is
How will one address these statement so as to prevent the instrumentalist to take initiatives and turn dark side in and out having a price tag tax 😅for the many categories of services offered by the instrumentalist and vocal .. avoiding having leaders to still bargain for discount ???😅😅

Now why we tithe has nothing to do with musicians, tithing is not an old testament practice, Abraham on his way back from pursuing after the 5 kings who took his nephew lot captive paid tithe to melchizedek , "one who has no beginning and no end" he paid tithe to Jesus the high priest. on the subject of musicians getting paid i leave that to the discretion of the church or ministry involved if they have the resources to do it then fine and also if the musicians have a full time job i think choosing to serve and honour God is a wiser thing to do. encouragements goes a long way tomake people more committed and showing they are appreciated. now if the musician was brought in as a church staff to be solely the church musician then he is paid not just for playing but by the reason of being a church staff.

People who are say they are under the "New Covenant" and say that the Law/Torah was "nailed to the cross" and that they don't need to obey it and their pastors preach that tithing is for today don't realize the hypocrisy of their words. They say, "Don't obey the Law. That's bondage and if you try to keep it, you're heading to hell. Jesus obeyed the Law, so we no longer have to. We are under the New Covenant and everything is LOVELOVELOVEGRACEGRACEGRACE" yet, they tell everyone to tithe... TITHING IS PART OF THE LAW. Pastor must be a hypocrite... Full of the doctrines of demons. The "New Covenant" they claim to be in, is actually a "Re-newed Covenant." Jesus/Yeshua was the ultimate sacrifice for mankind sins in this covenant though, that's the difference. Jesus said, "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled." (Matt. 5:18). He is saying that the not one word will be done away with. And take note, heaven is still above us and the earth beneath our feet... Thus, there are more things to be fulfilled in scripture. THUS THUS... THE LAW/TORAH IS STILL TO BE OBEYED... :) The word "Fulfill" people use to say the Law is done away with but in Hebrew, a more accurate translation, the word "fulfill" means to be "Filled Up." Yeshua/Jesus lived out or fulfilled or "Filled it up" to be an example of how we are supposed to live this life. Live your best life through His sacrifice if you are not already. Abandon sin, follow Yeshua. He lived the perfect example for us. It doesn't mean you are free of temptation and messing up accidentally. Do your best, through the Holy Spirit's power to overcome your weaknesses. We can't keep the law perfectly as Yeshua did. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," (Romans 3:23). We were born into sin, but not Yeshua. Yeshua never sinned, but kept His Heavenly Fathers commands unto death, thus, fullfilling/"filling it up," living out Torah to its full potential. Keeping the Torah is not bondage. It is instructions for life. God/Yahweh made it for our guidance and protection. THE LAW IS GOOD, and NOT done away with. Shalom! :)

Worshiping God shouldn’t be a career. It is a life style, a calling. We are called to serve not to get hired. I problem doesn’t lie in the pay versus not to pay but it’s about the money it’s bringing that that is if Cesar into that which is of God. Money corrupts and many seek money instead of seeking the spirit of God. Is it bad that musicians get payed? No as I believe that he who serve in the temple should eat of the temple. However, I believe that far greater is the reward we build in heaven and that serving should be done without expectation of reward but the Glory of God. The word says seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and EVERYTHING will be added to you. My problem isn’t getting payed, it’s seeking payment. There is a difference.

Their hearts weren't right brother. People need to understand that their HEART determines HOW they worship. Tithing IS A CONDITION OF THE HEART. Where your treasure is, there your heart will be Also. Jesus said it himself......as far as paying musicians is concerned, pay them, but musicians MUST understand that this is MINISTRY, NOT A GIG. IT REQUIRES PRACTICE, AND A LIFESTYLE THAT PROMOTES WHAT WE DO. MONEY IS ONLY PART OF THE ISSUE.......INTERESTING SUBJECT 🤔
